Working on being a burden to my children.
I'll second the Bolt hood lock (uses your existing key) and the Redline Tuning Hood Struts. Both are inexpensive and easy installs...then maybe that winch LOL!

For me the Tazer to turn off that start stop and my seat jackers from Desert Does It, they improve my seating position on long trips and my legs thank me for it.

This is my current drool until I see the price tag.
Yeah I feel that. I debated it for quite a long time when it was priced at $650 (I have a two door) then I saw it on sale for $600 and decided to finally pull the trigger. I see the prices now and... man I don't know. I really like it, not only is it more secure so things don't go missing but just doing grocery store runs is easier as I don't worry about things flying out the back. But the price is pretty insane now. It is very well made. One of the few Jeep mods I've had that every single bolt hole lined up right where it should, no mallets or pry bars required.

I'd actually recommend that you get nothing. Drive it for a month or two. See if you find anything about it awkward or inconvenient that could use some improvement. See if you ever think "It would be nice if I could..." or "if it had...", etc. Because after two months of driving it, what you think is important or convenient is going to change and it will be things that are very personal and specific to you and how you use the Jeep. At this point you just don't know what those things are yet.
10/10, can confirm.

In the time between order <-> delivery, I had built out a pretty extensive spreadsheet of things I was going to do to/get for my Jeep. My mod budget then got put on hold for a bit while we worked some things out, and once it came back, my priorities (and even many of my selections) had changed based on actually driving it and taking it out to the local park.

On paper and in my head, I had already done a full suspension and gone up to 35s. After driving it, I'm actually *really* happy with the balance that 33s give me for my usage, and a spacer lift gave me all the height I needed/wanted.

Being that its a 392 Rubi, I don't think you need much from the start. But after some time of normal driving, checking out this forum, and searching Jeep stores, ie Northridge 4x4, Quadratec you will find something of interest to mod your new Jeep. Once The List starts it never ends. lol
My favorite mod for my JLU was the sunrider, I live in upstate NY and keep it on all year. It's just too easy to slow down and throw it open. I was just down in Chat last month visiting my son, and flipped it open almost daily. Also thought going to Windrock and Nemo Tunnel great fun, cant wait to go back. Enjoy your new Jeep!!!!

Hopefully picking up a new Jeep this weekend  I need something to distract me for the next 48 hours because the excitement is about to kill me.
What have been your favorite Jeep mods and things you consider essential? (excluding lifts, tires, winches, gears, and all that other manly stuff). I’m planning on keeping this 392XR stock.
Pictures please if you have them!
(This is my first time starting a thread, so go easy on me ?)
Congratulations on your new Jeep ………..

I’m not allowed to suggest or recommend anything because my favorite mods fall in the excluded category……..? …… but I still wanted to say congratulations and welcome to the community…?

They have all been mentioned already, but throw in my 2 cents after owning my Jeep, with pretty much the same uses as you are planning.

1) Sunrider, bar none, the favorite mod on my jeep by far.
2) A dead pedal, just put this in a few weeks ago, and it makes those multiple hour drives so much nicer.
3)Diabolical slipstream for going topless.
4) Quadratec weather proof cab cover, if they have it in stock, far cheaper than the competition, to allow you to keep that top off in emergencies.
5) Sunshade, Alien makes a nice one, keeps the sunburn down when cruising topless.

Haven't done it yet this year, but my plan is to pull the top off in a couple of weeks and leave it off as much as possible. Word on the street is that you can remove the hardtop and then reinstall the sunrider to protect the front two seats in the event of sudden rain storm, not going to help the back passengers if you have any.

If I was doing it all over again, this is the list I would start with.
