Are the springs bowed when sitting level? Try the metalcloak lower isolators. They are slightly angled to combat spring bow. I think they are $25. I used them when I put mine in as a preventative and my bumps are perfectly centered.

Should have Hollard at one of the mid south Jeep people who were at the park Saturday. Most of them love the opportunity to go under someone’s Jeep to try to solve issues. If I’d have known I’d have looked. Good luck.
They were out in spades. I ended up hanging out with them for a bit but didn’t think to bring it up. Didn’t want to waste anyones wheeling day. I will keep the isolators in my back pocket in case it isn’t fixed by moving the axle. I appreciate your input ?

It looks like this would have been an issue with the normal length bumpstops, correct?
I don’t think so, but I’m not positive. The dildozer is awful intrusive.

Lol. While I can appreciate that I promise some of the club member live for problem solving rig issues of any kind. Hell we probably had enough tool between the club members to start a two bay mechanic shop. We even have a welder in the club trailer.

I don’t have a rubicon to compare it to. But it’s long enough that it looks weird.

Something else I see that may be contributing to the problem, but isn’t the main problem is they didn’t use the metal cloak coil isolators. Those look like the oem isolators.

Also with short arm/mid arm kits the axle rolls back as it droops, so it’s still gonna look like that when drooped, but should be centered at ride height.

FWIW I installed the kit. They just did the alignment. The isolators were included but the instructions specifically stated to only use one on the E-torque models and use the stock isolators for the remaining. And that’s what I did. If it continues to be an issue after the adjustments made today I will chase other options. I’m really hoping it is fixed by moving the axle forward a tad and rolling the axle. It was barely grabbing before, but enough to make a loud concerning noise. Fingers crossed

On the bright side, at least the long bump stop extensions will prevent your coils from falling out at full flex/droop. ?? That was legit problem i use to have on both front and rear sometimes in my Tj. Resolved when entire jeep suspension was redone to coilovers. Hey, coilovers, that is one possible solution ?

Curious, since i have an XR on order and am considering the metalcloak 3.5, did you end up resolving this?

how much more lift did the kit give you? Noticeably better flex?

For the most part, yes. Moved the axle a tad and rolled it a bit and it only makes a little pop sound every now and then if I’m REALLY flexing out.

I got ~2” over the XR factory height from the lift. I never flexed the stock suspension, but this thing is nuts. You won’t be disappointed, and if you are you need long arms. It’s almost too good? I feel like I need to take risky lines to get excited with this rig, compared to my last rig that was a crowd pleaser on sane trails. The giggle factor is there, like, "holy cow, we made that look easy" the drama however, is gone. It just flexes up most lines without lifting a tire and rarely requiring lockers

Great photos! 2” of additional lift is more than I would have expected, I was guessing 1”-1.5”.

Did you install MetalCloak’s tie rod and drag link system for the steering as well with the Rockshock steering stabilizer? If so, how does it feel?

I did the tie rod and drag link. They apparently do not have a rocksport stabilizer for the JL(surprised me too, but I asked them the question directly). I did put on the billet stabilizer mount and reused the OE stabilizer for now. It’s on my “to-do list” to find a viable option for replacement, but I haven’t done much research. I will probably start looking after the new year. I was in a mad rush to get everything together for Moab over thanksgiving and that didn’t make the cut. It drives alright, but I’m sure it would benefit having a larger stabilizer

Did you use any bump stop pads on the bottom? Or was the longer upper factory bumpstop long enough not to need them?
