Did you have to add any spacers for a heavier bumper and/or winch to the AEV kit? I can't remember if I asked this already, sorry.

I have a 1" spacer on my factory springs for my winch and bumper. Just wanted to know if I should transfer it immediately to save myself the extra labor of doing it later.
no spacers were added. these all had either oem steel bumpers and winches, or oem steel and VR10000 and one had an arcus bumper and ironman4x4 winch.

Awesome, thanks. I have an Arcus bumper and a 9500lb winch. Lighter than some but heavier than stock. Good to know that I won't have to do the front twice.

FWIW, You have been an awesome source of information on this site. For me and I see for many others as well. I just wanted you to know that it's appreciated, especially since I feel like a pest, haha.

My son and I installed my AEV 2.5” dual sport lift today. There was a lot of conflicting information between the instructions and videos of people installing the same lift.

First, AEV lists the bolts and nuts that are included in the lift. Yay. But then they never tell you which bolts go where. Not once. No exact reference like “the M12x 1.75” bolt gets used to install blah blah blah”. Nothing. Oh they mention using versus not using the factory bolts, but they never referenced which bolts of the carefully inventoried bolts you should use.

Second, I have an Xtreme Recon. I had read somewhere that I don’t use the new rear swaybar end links, but in the instructions, this wasn’t the case. I couldn’t find where I had seen it, so I used them. What about the rear bump stop spacers? My jeep has 1” ones already. Do I change them out to the new 2” ones? Who knows?

All in all I’m not disappointed with the lift. I’m still on the 35s until Wednesday but my measurements were 41” all the way around and now on the 35s I am at 42.5”. So I gained 1.5” OVER.my Xtreme Recon supposed 1.5”.

I haven’t driven on it yet because I haven’t torqued everything to spec yet. Supercross came on so torquing can wait until tomorrow.
