If I have the metal cloak tie rod, can I just use the bracket that's already attached to it? Trying to get up to speed here on this, it sounds like I need to get another bracket but then also the synergy bolt to tie it into the axle?

What's the warranty on the battery? The etorque doesn't have the aux nonsense but I don't want any of the battery problems that plague jeeps. Any recommendations for one to swap in if I need to?

You probably aren’t wrong. At the dealer, you can tell them you want it opened up. They may make you sign something saying you are going to pay a $150 diagnostic fee or something to that affect, if they don’t find anything. So worst case you are out the $150 plus $30ish for new oil...

For what it's worth, it is very easy to check the dif yourself and swap the fluid. Get a gasket that is cut for the Dana44 so you don't need to deal with putting on your own sealant. Might be a good idea to make sure there aren't a ton of metal shavings.

Did they pull the dif covers?

I run 37s KO2s on a '22 JLUR XR build with 4.56 gearing and the 8 speed auto. I see 8th regularly. I turn off the auto start stop, gas mileage ranges from 17.5 to over 18 if I'm really gentle. Fair warning, I wish I had stuck with 35s. I hit a big hidden pothole in the snow going about 10mph...

I have the same issue with a front Dynatrac axle, super disappointing. Basically the fix is regearing. And there doesn’t seem to be a bad wear pattern but it is annoying as F.

I tried to bug Tazer about it for a bit but they basically said there is too much liability to do this. There are some other ways I think, like wiring a kill switch to the brake lights, but I haven’t figured that out yet.

Hope it's that simple. They didn't see a lot of excess metal in the dif oil and the wear pattern looked good to them initially. If I'm out a set of gears after 30K miles and light off roading I would be super disappointed in Dynatrac quality.

It's going to be about $1000 to do it with labor and parts. I guess it could be worse. Just hope it's not backlash issues that still sit there after the bearings.
