Aldo, I’ve always wondered about the Sahara shocks. My wife has a 2020 Sahara JLU. Her build sheet says “Heavy Duty Suspension w/Gas Shocks.” It felt no different than my base 2018 Sport, or my 2021 Rubicon (all four door). All of these vehicles we lifted with Fox 2.0 shocks, with a noticeable improvement. I’ve tried to research the difference with the Sahara shocks, but found nothing tangible from trusted websites, including Jeep.com. What is the real deal with this? Thanks!

I have been trying to find out the technical differences across Sport, Sahara and Rubicon shocks for the past 15 years and still haven't found out anything specific. That is besides the mambo-jumbo on the Jeep website.

Sahara comes standard with the automatic climate control and the 8.4" screen. I believe you can configure Willys to have those two as options.

Sahara comes standard with auto climate control.

I think I read both Altitudes, Sport and Sahara, have been discontinued. High Altitude remains, though. High Altitude is a full-zoot Sahara.

Upgrade alternator, battery, aux switches, and some day you may want to tow. Tow package

Thank you all. Placed my order - Sahara 2.0 turbo engine with sky one touch power top package (4150 usd), all terrain tires (465 usd) and and trailer tow package (1150). Waiting time 3-5 months. Dealer charged $2100 - $1200 for dealership fees and $974 for protection fees (though I don’t know what is the use of that but it is mandatory). I believe dealer fee of 2000 is common- or they have fooled me?
Total including tax ( 7% standard in Florida)it came 60k. Is it a good buy ( I have not yet bought it, just gave 500 bucks as token money)

I just ordered a Sport in the Tampa area a week ago. Including tax, tags, delivery charge, and all fees, I'm paying about $700 more than MSRP. "Discount" of 6% less than invoice and $298 dealer fee.

Same price from both Galeana Fort Myers and Sarasota Dodge. Shopped all of the dealers in the Tampa area too. Some of these probably would have matched that price, but I didn't pursue it.

If you are ordering from the factory than no, It isn't compulsory. It's an added thing the dealers told them to include so they can upcharge you on it. If you are firm, most dealers will drop them. You wouldnt go to McDonald's and be okay with them charging you for an extra drink you didnt ask for as a price of business. If they are adamant, find a better dealer. You can probably find one with less fees as that seems kind of high. Did they give you an itemized bill of sale that breaks down what you're paying for?

You can also ask for the itemized pre-delivery checklist. It will name everything that is included before the factory ships your car out and is often broken down by the wholesale price paid by the dealership. they will try to tell you that the window sticker is the PDI. It is not. It could give you a better idea of how much of your money is actually going towards the jeep and what the true mark up is from the dealer, as well as any extras they request without your permission. It'll give you a better bargaining position.

A Sahara is in essence the "luxury" Jeep. It comes with more standard creature comfort options. It only comes in a 4-Door version and has standard AC, 8.4 inch screen, standard body colored fender flairs, 3.45 Overall Top Gear Ratio. In 2022 you got side steps and an available manual transmission. In 2023 you have to pay extra for side steps and you cannot order a 2023 Sahara with a manual transmission...
