For something to be truly funny there must be an element of truth. So why am I not laughing ?… I could use another one
Meh. Shit's gonna change whether we like it or not. Always has and always will. No sense in getting upset about it, imo.

Guess the only thing to do is spend your money how you best see fit. Supporting ideas you'd like to see continue and not buying the shit you don't - or buying used, when there's no longer an option (I really don't recommend buying used liquor though). Cheers fellow old man yelling at clouds ?

We can’t do anything about it, except not participate. My 21 is forever ( easy at my age), but should the tech and electronics take a dump Dad’s simple basic 50 will likely still be going. ? (V10 Dodge PU almost became junk a couple years ago due to an Obsolete ignition control module.)

I mean, at some point, the shape doesn't really matter. Here's a list of my past 3 vehicles and their MPG (and other, relevant info):

- 2020 Wrangler diesel - 260hp, 442tq, 25mpg (observed, non-towing, city/hwy combined)
- 2017 Camaro SS - 455hp, 455tq, 13mpg (observed over 3.5 years)
- 2008 Pontiac G8GT - 505rwhp, 550rwtq, 8.7mpg (observed over 4 years post-cam install)
- 2000 Trans Am WS-6 - 17mpg (advertised, combined, before turning into racecar)
- 1995 Camaro - 20mpg (combined, advertised)
- 1966 Mustang GT - 12mpg (just some random internet shit - who really knows)

Conclusion - my Wrangler is the most fuel economic vehicle I have EVER owned!
At sufficient speed those other vehicles will kick your Wrangler's ass in MPG. Velocity is squared in the formula for drag. We've also got a massive frontal area.

.5 * air density * velocity^2 * drag coefficient * frontal area

I lived and worked in Bavaria for several years, so maybe I got the speed thing out of my system. I like that I can use my jeep to its max capabilities, legally!

Its aerodynamics are for me a kind of designed-in highway speed governor--no chats with the CHP for me...?

Portray the inner and outer aerody-moo-mics of your Jeep ?

I'm not drinking much...yet ?

Damn, just because my JL sounds like an old tractor doesn't mean I want it to look like a Holstein...

I actually saw this while in Vietnam in 2008 - a guy driving north on National Route 1, on a small motorcycle, with a small adult cow that was ALIVE, tied and draped over the back of the seat, as in this photo! As we passed by driving in the other direction, the cow lifted its head up and looked at us.

Lots of things have worse drag coefficients than a cow.

Bird - 0.4
Cow - 0.5
Sphere - 0.5
Convertible car - 0.6-0.7
Truck - 0.8-1.0
Bicycle - 0.9
Person standing - 1.0-1.3

Cows are actually pretty aerodynamic - only slightly less so than birds!

Yes, but birds have to manage induced drag since they are making lift. Set the wing's angle of incidence at 0 deg and it's probably much more aerodynamic than a cow.

Yeah, but what about if the cow puts its ears back and tucks its udders up? Then what?!!

hahahaha

What's the old saying? "You can ride your cow to work, but you can't eat your Jeep!" or "You can sleep in your Jeep, but you can't climb rocks with your cow?" Something like that I think.. ?
I can also eat my horse. But people in the west tend to frown on that practice.

He is getting old.
