Like many other things on Wranglers the ACC is apparently inconsistent. Mine is horribly abrupt, all stop or full speed ahead. If someone pulls between me and the followed vehicle it slams on the brakes to get the distance back, inviting others to also pull in front of you again slamming the brakes, repeat until you are going 35 in the fast lane. .. If they get out of in front of me hang on, it’s getting back to the set speed and distance NOW I only use it in open road, light traffic situations.
There are times when mine brakes aggressively when someone pulls in front of me, but most of the time it's smooth. It is definitely accelerates more aggressively than I like when I change lanes from behind someone, but making up space behind a car in front of me is smooth. I use it on long highway trips and in traffic. I work with the shortcomings to minimize them.

My GC isn’t nearly as abrupt, it eases in and out of throttle much more smoothly. … However, it’s auto braking can’t even go past an occupied turn lane on a curved road without slamming on the brakes nearly getting me rear ended 3 times. The Wrangler isn’t so afflicted.

Ask @2nd 392 about ACC and get back to us.

Disclaimer: I have had very similar negative experiences with ACC, so much so that I won’t use it.
It worked pretty good on my 15 Challenger SRT but wasn’t perfect in busier hwy traffic. Plenty of times I remember thinking “Are you going to brake?” Then it would aggressively get back up to speed. lol

It wasnt bad around 2010ish when I was working for them 🤷‍♂️
They must have added AI to it. Mine has so many delusions about where the lanes are it's completely unusuable.

We have had 4 Subaru's with lane assist. The first was a 2016 Crosstrek and it would bounce side to side between the lines. They have gotten progressively better over the years. Our current 2025 Forester stays perfectly in the center. My 2024 Ridgeline however still has the old Honda system so it wonders.

The pressure is variable and adjusts based on driver input, speed and steering angle. The entire point of the multiple inputs and software control is to affect steering, why else would programming affect steering, if not to improve it? If not programing, what did they do to the steering in 2024 to improve it?
The steering system software can only change the pump, which is the power assist. Any perceived "play" at speed, is all mechanical, from the steering column, to the steering gear box, to the draglink, knuckles, etc. If you install a gauge on your power steering hydraulic system, you'll see that the pressure is more or less constant.

Software can't fix play in your steering.

I hate lane assist. I find it to be an annoyance. I noticed an option on 2026 Ram trucks, a drowsy driver alert. Apparently if you don't keep your head and eyes within the parameters designed in the system, it will sound alarms and flash messages on the dash. No thanks.

And I'm surprised how may of you are using cruise control in city traffic. I never use it in any of my vehicles, except once in awhile when I think about it on deserted highways.

isn't this how all cooled seats work?
Some manufacturers funnel A/C air to the seat perforations. Others just have fans in the seat bottom and back moving ambient air through the perforations. Either would help with black leather seats.

Hope to hear some decent changes for the 27. Holding out to order a Rubi X 2 door. Assume just some minor tweaks tho.

I've been wheeling with older Jeeps lots. On washboard roads the rest of the group periodically has to stop to wait for them to catch up. It's brutal for them.

Then again, if there are IFS-based vehicles in the group then they're doing the same thing waiting for us. That's a trade-off that I'm willing to take.
The brand new, fancy, expensive INEOS Grenadier has a solid front axle. That vehicle could actually be the next model Wrangler. A new and improved Wrangler although it's pitched as a reincarnated Land Rover.
