Here is my set up. Ran power cord under grab bar and tapped a USB inverter in to wiring for cigarette lighter. It is magsafe as well, so no plugging up or fiddling with clunky mounts. I also use CPLAY2AIR dongle plugged inside center console for wireless airplay. Flawless system.

BMB would you please be so kind to share a bit more about how you wired that up? Appreciate the help.

I am using Car Play 2 Air as well, it ocassionally drops the connection from the center console. Considering mounting it behind that dash - like this:

cords are my nemesis, I hate them with a passion. I have the 67 Designs mount and I bought a 2 ft charging cable that is the perfect length. Long enough to hang out of the way of any controls on the dash but short enough that there isn't excess cable dangling everywhere. Works perfectly.

I ordered the Sanctum wireless charger from LeatherSeats.com and wireless Carplay dongle. My console lid arrived there today so hopefully see it back in a couple of weeks. The guy said they are using the magsafe style charging so my iPhone 14 should charge faster which is good cause Carplay drains the battery. This is a cleaner setup than most options. It is pricey at $350 for the console lid, and $120 for the dongle. But if you bought a Wrangler you can afford it
Did you get your Sanctum? How do you like it? I have a 4xe and am concerned about the stitching matching but it looks like a sweet set up.

You can custom order the stitching in several colours, so you should be able to get it to something rather close to the factory stitching.......

Thanks for the feedback. 'Rather close' won't work for me and my OCD :). I've messaged them directly re: the match. Since you are using Car2Play, how did you configure the power in your set up (I'm using CarLinkit)? Do you have the Car2Play plugged into the console USB?

How is there no aftermarket part for this? How hard can it be to design the inside top console tray to have a wireless charging pad? I agree with some here and I'm tired of the wires and my phone hanging in awkward areas of the dash. I recently purchased a wireless AA adapter and it works perfectly, but if I want to charge my phone I still have to plug in which annoys me. Anybody know if there is a charging pad that fits pretty well in the top console tray? I know about the sanctum lid wireless tray and that will not work for me as there is a 99% chance I'm cracking my phone screen as I lean my elbow on the lid almost 100% of the time I am driving. Plus the sanctum is ridiculously expensive IMO. TIA

You could probably fabricate something pretty easily - wireless charging pads (like, the actual charging coil, not a stand or final product) are easy to get online.

I have one of these trays: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VG6YKGM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 and I love it. The plastic is thin enough that you could probably attach a coil to the underneath part.

The challenge is that for many phones (even my Galaxy S23) the console is too small to be able to lay the phone flat. Maybe you could 3D-print a miniature "wall" that could hold the phone like a slot?

Personally I'd hate having to open my console every time I get in or out of the Jeep. I keep my phone in the "slot" between the two cup-holders, and I have a cord connected to the USB port on the console. However, I bought a right-angle adapter, so that little door-flap *almost* closes flat on it, and the cord is instead routed out to the side, and then I keep the cord wrapped around the shifter (automatic transmission, don't recommend it for a manual) so it's out of the way but accessible. Works nicely and looks clean. I even splurged a little on a blue USB cord so it at least matches.

Glad to post photos if you'd like. I have a Motorola wireless AA dongle but it had issues with randomly disconnecting, and drained my battery like a MoFo, so I just reverted back to this solution.

UPDATE: Went ahead and snapped a couple of photos. You could probably get more creative if you wanted to with the routing of the cord, but I've been using it like this for nearly a year with no issues. The only time it presents an issue is when my daughter or wife put one of their Big Dumb-Ass Cups (Stanleys, as they're also known) in the front cupholder, and even then, it's just routed slightly oddly.
