Too long! Bought it in seriously rough shape. The mechanicals were easy the body work not so much. With young kids and a busy job I haven’t been able to dedicate much time to it lately. I’m probably 5 years into my “just get it running goal”. It’s runs and drives but needs time and money. Seems like I usually have one or the other haha.

Along with already mentioned on and off-road maneuverability and the coolness factor, I love not only driving a 2dr but also a 2 seater w/loads of cargo space. That was the first mod I did... day 1 of taking delivery.

Hard to name another 2dr that has so much available cargo space.

Tighter turn radius, more HP per Lb, steering feels quicker than the 4 door (not sure if it actually is, but sure feels like it).

The 2 door has SLOWER steering ratio to help compensate for its shorter wheel base. But the result still feels quicker.

Yep, dealer ordered the 4dr steering gear box for my 2dr, luckily they caught the error before installing it, might have been "too fun" even for a 2dr

So nimble Offroad and Onroad. Also feels so simple. And they look amazing with tops and doors off.

Now that I bought my teardrop for camping it is so nice to just hop in the Jeep and go for a trip. The trunk is empty, there is no digging for camping gear in the trunk and we have a 2 door nimble jeep to hang around wherever we are camping.

You can also do this with a 4 door of course. But the idea of buying a teardrop came up because of the necessity. If I had a 4 door I would have probably never thought about owning a teardrop trailer.

The two doors are modular. Camping? hook up trailer. Need to haul some cargo? hook up utility trailer. Need to get some views? take top/doors off and ride around town. It is a fact women think 2 doors are sexy.
