I think I found them. Look to be zip tied so another set. Later today possibly Ill go pull it apart to make sure its these wires. What did you select for the battery cut off? Also, I would assume, the Aux switch does not have to be turned on to get it to function correct?Yeah, if you have the Aux switches, there is a bundle in the engine bay and a bundle under/behind the glove box. In each of those bundles there are six wires, one for each switch, one which has power when ignition is on, and one which has power all the time.
If you have them but can't find the bundle, look behind the carpet on both sides of the passenger footwell - many (including myself) have found the bundle stuffed in random places. It will be cloth wrapped and mine had tape covering the end from when they pulled it. I'll go get a quick picture of what it looks like.

If you don't have the aux switches then there are some other options in that area too, which I would have to dig around to find the suggestions.
If you found the bundle of 6 wires with heat-shrunk and determinated ends, looking like the one in my picture, then yeah you probably found them! Such a pain that they're so inconsistent with them, huh?I think I found them. Look to be zip tied so another set. Later today possibly Ill go pull it apart to make sure its these wires. Thanks. I’ll try to see if I cannot get this wired after work today. The wife is gonna grab me some butt connectors heat gun etc so I can get it done.If you found the bundle of 6 wires with heat-shrunk and determinated ends, looking like the one in my picture, then yeah you probably found them! I wired the red "batt" wire to the Red with white-stripe "Direct to battery" wire.
I wired the yellow "ACC" wire to the Orange with Pink-Stripe "Ignition Accessory" wire. Note - this is where it can get annoying and where I suggest using a multimeter or similar to check. The Aux3 wire is Pink with an Orange stripe, and on my wires, the Stripe was more like half the wire so I initially hooked it up to the Aux3 switch on accident (why in my picture you see one of the wires just taped instead of having the factory heat shrink over the end.)
The black ground wire, I just wired to one of the bolts holding on the trim around the glove box.
Your assumption is correct. When the vehicle is off, the camera goes into parking mode. When the ignition is on or in accessory mode, that camera goes into active mode. The aux switches do nothing to affect the operation of the camera (again with the caveat that in my wiring there was barely any discernible difference between the aux3 and ignition wire, so I had to rewire that one to get it on the correct wire.)
Looking on the box for my kit, it says two fuse taps are required. I see that you do not have any on your setup. Was it not required on yours or are they simply not needed?Yeah, if you have the Aux switches, there is a bundle in the engine bay and a bundle under/behind the glove box. If you use the AUX wire bundle all 6 of those cables are already fused (in the fuse box). No need to add additional fuses.Looking on the box for my kit, it says two fuse taps are required. I see that you do not have any on your setup. Was it not required on yours or are they simply not needed?
Great. You have to let me know how you like the A119 Mini 2 I think if my current setup keeps flaking out I'm going to go with that one.Awesome, thanks. Glad since all I have left is to strip and connect them up lol
I have the Viofo A129, which I am assuming is the higher model because the model number is higher.Great. You have to let me know how you like the A119 Mini 2 I think if my current setup keeps flaking out I'm going to go with that one.
I did not take an image. However, mine were pretty easy to tell. The camera powered back on using USB C to the cigarette lighter. For what it's worth, I had a similar problem on my A129 pro duo that turned out to be the GPS module faulting. I verified it by powering the camera directly with a Mini USB and then through the gps moudle with a Mini usb, it didn't work when I tried through the GPS module, and the replacement module that Viofo support sent did work (has worked for the years since.) Since yours is USBC it should be easier since you don't have to find an archaic Mini USB, but that is the next step I would do to test it.
Did you happen to get a picture of your wiring just to verify? Not to be a jerk with that question, but I'm not joking when I mean it was hard to tell the Aux3 from the ignition wire, although you should have had power through the battery for parking mode.
Where did you wire up the black ground wire to, was it getting good contact with the frame?
