I would love to have a 392 but I couldn't justify the $20-$25k+ over what I got my 2.0 for as there was only MSRP on them when I ordered mine and I really wanted my Gecko. I did see that somehow there were like 3 Gecko 392's built :(. I'd love to have a Gladiator 392 though.

My rationale for the 392 below. Of course the V8 rumble and the launch are a total bonus :)
Good luck - there are no bad decisions where you are headed.

Towing (Camper - Mountain West)
+ Torque
+ Heavy duty transmission - 8HP75
+ Heavy duty axles (Mojave front axle M210; rear is heavy tube M220)
+ Heavy duty brakes (Mojave - front; 4xe - rear)
+ Heavy duty cooling system (Gladiator high air flow grill w/ 850W fan)

Off-Road
+ Wrangler out-of-the-box capability
+ 35" tires w/ no mods required
+ Factory lift
+ Crawl / descent control (paddle shift)
- Less bump-stop clearance
- Poor off-road fuel economy

General
+ Selec-Trac (4-Auto) transfer case
+ Cast iron steering knuckles
+ Fox shock package
+ Tighter steering radius (CV joint front axle)
+ No smart battery management
+ Single battery
+ No ESS
+ No eTorque (weight / space / complexity)
+ No failure prone emissions equipment or DEF (diesel)
- CV joint front axle (potential torn boots)
- Bundled mandatory options - (safety packages, color matched top/fenders, etc.)
- Reduced highway fuel economy
- Premium fuel
- $15k extra

This close to the demise of the powerful V8’s the odds on a “ swan song “ 392 Gladiator are mighty slim. Then again- the Hemi Cuda was only build for 2 years so who knows

Yeah I'm not holding my breath. I'm very happy with my 2.0 choice so far. I think I will eventually order a Gladiator though, I'm going to look into Gupton and see what kind of deal they do on Gladiators.

It's not as sexy as the 392, but I really like the low end torque on the 4xe. Wife wants the 392 but we'll wait until there's a non-fully-loaded version available. I just can't deal with black leather in a convertible anything.

The odds on a stripper 392 are also slim. It’s purpose is a flagship Bronco beater not a volume seller. Every one sold lowers the mpg average while every 4xe sold raises it. You will probably have to want one enough to reupholster

The 392 has tacky accent colors. Or at least, that’s what I keep telling myself.

I was hoping for a Rubicon trail-rig version. Soft top only, MIC fenders, no nanny-sensors, no leather, but add XR package.

If I'm spending YOUR money and not worrying about payments, I'll choose the 392! I'll have to settle on keeping my 2019 REGULAR Rubi for awhile. (Sounds silly to refer to my Rubi as regular since they came out with the 392) LOL. Congrats on what ever you chose. You'll love it!

Oh come on....the title of your thread is like asking: Kathy Bates or Kate Upton?
Come on...A regular Rubi as Kathy Bates??? How about Kathy Ireland and Kathy Upton? LOL

I’m probably one of the few that traded in their 392 for a 3.6…. But mine was a challenger lol. I loved the power but boy was that engine thirsty for that premium gas.
