That’s not a dual zone stack. Set it to single zone and save it in JScan. Leave it go for a few sleep cycles (1 hour- over night)
Its not dual or single zone. Its Manual temperature control (knob that you rotate) vs Auto temp control (buttons). There are no option with MTC with buttons. And its single zone MTC by default in our Jeeps. You do not need to change it, it just does not work.

That doesn’t make sense (I’m not trying to argue with you just so you know, now I’m just curious). Since the factory radio comes with the manual knobs, when swapping to the new stack also with manual knobs why do they not work? Why not then just keep it at MTC single?

Being that I bought the same as his, i’m gonna just plug it and leave it overnight after the first cycle and see if the computer does its thing. If not then single ATC. But it makes more sense for MTC but as of now with the 8.4 the on screen climate doesn’t work so I’m leaning towards ATC to do the trick.

From my understanding when I first looked into the hvac swap a couple years ago was that it’s just changing the setting from a olof to digital AC controls.

Just did the 5” to 7” swap. Smooth as butter… but… none of my HVAC controls work.
Anyone have advice? Do i need the cabin air sensor and Tazer to program it?

I did the 5" to 7" to 8.4" and switched out stacks in the process. Additionally I swapped out my sun sensor and added the cabin temp sensor.
I had to use my Tazerr to flash the HVAC and get the controls to work. They did nothing prior to that. When I unmarry/reset to stock for any reason, the climate controls are useless again.

Our set ups are somewhat different, but but we have the stack in common. I'd bet if you flash the stack your controls will work.

I'll add that if you want your compass back, you need to add the GPS/SAT antenna. The 5" unit had that built in. Nobody knew that was a thing back when we were modding our '18's & 19's. A lot of trial and error went into figuring that out.

No Sport comes with the correct harness. Only the Sport S and on come with it.
my 2019 unlimited sport came with all the wiring in place
all i did was purchase the cabin sensor an change the sun sensor - works perfect for me

I bought the radio, bezel and HVAC stack from Mopar.
Seems like ill need to get JSCAN then, I really appreciate the quick and helpful responses!
the app is free but you need to buy the vin license cheap for all it does its well worth it
unless u have a tazer then ur good

Radio controls and everything else not climate related works perfectly. Only climate controls don’t work as they should.
Edit: I really hope I’m missing something obvious, and tomorrow morning everything suddenly works :)

Even with the single MTC? What if you leave it as that and leave it plugged in overnight. Cause my current stack shows the changes on my 8.4. So it might just work if you let it simmer in a way.

I called the local dealerships and was advised this is the part for the cabin air sensor.

Im going to pick it up today and get Jscan. Fingers crossed that I can get the A/C going for the wife.?

I don’t think that is the right sensor, I used this one form the DIY Auto AC thread.
