Ooh... missed that part.Unfortunately, it says this on the "fit" tab on their product page:
- Jeep Wrangler JL 2018 – Current, 4-Door models with no Rear Alpine Speaker(with or without OEM hard or soft top).
Just installed mine. There should be a nice gap between the Tuffy and the seatback. I’m thinking that may be a good stow
I have not done the recline mod.Hi All,
Anyone have this already for the JL? If so, have you done the recline mod, and does it fit with it? I wanted to order but heard it may not fit with the recline kit. I gave a call to Tuffy and the rep checked and mentioned the engineers did not factor that possibility. Hope someone does have it and confirm it works... Just got my first Jeep and looking forward to add this as it appears to be quite useful.
Thanks in advance!
That may be where I stow my side windows. The rear window can be left behind or rolled horizontally. Walmart felt blankets will protect them.![]()
Just Installed mine.
There is a triangle space between the enclosure and the rear of the seat.

Please let us know how it goes - mine is due in tomorrow and I'd rather modify than return and wait, but I'm a disaster when it comes to cleanly modding thingsneed the security enclosure ASAP, so I will be undertaking a small task of cutting a hole to accommodate the sub..
I checked the description on the Sahara/Rubi stock 7" system, vs the Alpine system. Standard is listed as 8 speaker, and Alpine is listed as 9 speakers:Is there a sub woofer that is smaller in the same location for the non-upgraded alpine system? Either way, if you have alpine sub, tuffy says no.
I have not done the recline mod.
This only about 1" between the seat back and the top of the enclosure.
