Trunk storage options question

Hey all, just picked up a 2022 Rubicon with 18k miles and super excited to be back in the Jeep family after a decade of being away.

I have lots of projects already planned, but was wondering if anyone has suggestions for storage options for the back.

Specifically I was thinking of something with a little verticality to have extra storage.

The main barrier to finding something is that with the premier sound, it would need a space built in to not cover the woofer I would think.

Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Chose very carefully if you have or eventually want a soft top. A lot of the cargo trays use the soft top threaded bolt holes in the roll bar.

Personally that ruled out a lot of great looking cargo trays. Luckily I picked up a used tray (on Marketplace for $75) that uses/shares the bolts that hold the hard top to the vehicle. It is by Body Armor 4x4.

On a different note, I had a Slipstream security closure by Diabolical in my 2018 JKU. I really liked it, so I bought one for my 2020 JLU... I need to get that installed & see if Iike it with the cargo tray above it. Only time will tell on that front.

When I read your OP I was confused if the approach you seek is, for example, a shelf with some height to it (verticality) or an approach that perhaps involves a shelf that is easily removable so as to maximize the storage of tall items.

Thanks for this Andy. Definitely will take a look at this.

Basically, I'm looking for rear storage that won't sit flush on top of the alpine sub in the floor so it doesn't interfere with the sound.

I decided a hard shelf is not a good idea. Instead, I use a net. The net is pulled taught.

1. Nothing slides around on the net
2. The net is designed as quick release for easy removal
