Does anyone here have the EZ trunk?

I came across this yesterday and it looks pretty cool. We use the soft top a lot and I always worry about the stuff we leave in the jeep when we park somewhere.

I considered it, but I really don't need a back seat so I removed it and I put in the Tuffy Security Enclosure for a larger secured storage area.

Looks cool, but note that your soft top may not go all the way down (so you get that click) and you'll have to use something to secure it. I have a tonneau cover and have that issue. When your soft top is down it drops into that space a bit in order to go all the way down.

It has a strap that you use ho hold the folded top down.

So... on the website, in all the pics, the rear seat is shown tumbled forward. Does this trunk work with the seat in its normal position?

Yes I have the Ez trunk in my 23 2 door Willys sport. It installs and works with the seat upright and creates a safe area to store things when I have the top down. Not exactly cheap but was the best option I could find for the 2 door.

No, I can’t remember if it fully locks in the down position bc I used the straps to tie to rollbar and it comes with a strap….but that was briefly before I got a softop boot to clean it up. I never had any issues, if you plan to keep the top down a lot and doors off it is must have (or something similar).

This company was a bit shady at Jeep Beach. Was gonna pick up their tailgate table from them there which they said was regularly $299 and on sale for $199. Didnt want to lug it around all day so planned to pick one up the next day when we were gonna do all our shopping. Check their site later that night and come to find out the most expensive table they offer is $229 ... Its a small thing but doubt Ill ever buy something from them.

I have one in my 2023 2 door Willy’s soft top. No issues and I love it. I do have the back seat removed but I am sure that isn’t necessary. I put the top down at least weekly and have no complaints, the security is awesome and was exactly what I was looking for. Spoke to the folks for a while who make/sell it at bantam Jeep fest this year and then pulled the trigger. They offered to help me install and said any questions or issues they fully support it etc. I did the install myself in the parking lot, took about 15 min or so.

If I had to find one complaint, it does sometime rattle a little bit, but not much. it’s metal after all. If rattles bug you this may be annoying.

That's unfortunate, I have not seen another product like this and it is exactly what I am looking for. We do a lot of top down doors off and need a lockable trunk that does not waste space. this product checks both boxes

And you do need to keep your rear seat, right? If you remove it, you have additional options.
