  1. Jeep Window flying off on interstate

Take a close look at the 'slot' the piping goes into on the top of the window. Over time and use sometimes that 'slot' opens up more than it should esp at the ends.
  2. Is this ticking normal?

Ive noticed on two occasions over the last 6 weeks or so mine will sound just like that at start up, and then seems to go away once it warms up. Mine is a 2020 JLU 3.6l with about 8500 miles on it. Oil changed once a year, oil level is fine, I check it regularly. Most times at start up I don't...
  3. Thoughts on my plan to avoid future Start/Stop issues???

I turn the ESS off every time, however I frequently use my Noco genius 10 to maintain the batteries. I have less than 10k miles on my 2020, so whenever its going to sit for a few days or more, I make sure its on the battery tender. My batteries are over 3 years old now, and the ESS still works...
  4. Ducking Suck or Sweet?

No ducks for me, I don't want them crapping all over my dash.
  5. Looking at trading my 4Runner for a Jeep (Fuel Economy?)

I own both. (JLU is 3.6l auto) Both are stock with the exception of aftermarket wheels and tires. The difference in gas milage in negligible. If that is the primary reason for switching from 4runner to JLU, I don't think you're going to see enough of a difference to make it worth. Both get in...
  6. Does anyone here have the EZ trunk?

Looks cool, but note that your soft top may not go all the way down (so you get that click) and you'll have to use something to secure it. I have a tonneau cover and have that issue. When your soft top is down it drops into that space a bit in order to go all the way down.
  7. Naked + A/C...

Any potential issues with running your AC with the top down? Being in south FL with I've done it many times, but never for long periods of time because of concerns of excess moisture building the vents.
  8. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

Frankly I was surprised my bank let that charge go thru. I've never charged that much at one time ever. The AC company comp'd my maintenance fee for the next year for the error, so was happy about that.
  9. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

Well, Im not sure you are 100% correct on that. First, it seems the dealership that screwed this up, got my canceled warranty reinstated today. When I have a chance Im going to call Mopar to verify its all good but seems to be good based on the paper work I now have. Second, what I technically...
  10. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

Thanks, If I was inclined to do my own oil changes, that's the route I would go. I do keep some common spare parts around just in case, including Mopar oil filter and Oil Filter Housing Cap.
  11. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

I paid $107 total (includes taxes) for two oil changes. The first one I used Friday, I have another due to me that must be used within a year. sidenote - Ive not heard a thing from the dealership about my extended warranty they canceled in error, yet.
  12. How to get long white mark off paint protection film?

I'm not sure how to fix either of those issues, but maybe try these for the interior of the rear doors - https://thinskinz.com They look good on too, it would cover up the existing scratch. And it will definitely prevent any new scratches.
  13. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

^^^^^ Correct, however if they put your name in the system incorrectly, it seems Mopar thinks its a new owner and it closes out any warranties tied to that VIN that doesn't match the new name. Yeah, I knew I'd hear..."do the oil change yourself". If that works for you, great. It doesn't for me...
  14. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

LOL! No, there is a thread some where that Grainger offers extended warranty for $50 over cost. I was very happy with what I purchased and the price. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an extended warranty. EDIT - here is link for warranty deal from Grainger...
  15. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

Well, when I was sold this 'oil warranty', thats not how it was sold to me. It was presented as a pre paid oil change deal. I didn't know It was an 'oil warranty' till I spoke with Jackie. And when I went back and looked on the paper work I got for it, it did say 'warranty'. Ive been doing...
  16. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

Apparently its a thing, why would have it been a red flag for possible issue with my extended Mopar warranty? I usually don't buy oil changes in advance but $100 for two oil changes, seemed like no brainer. Sure if I had any idea that it would screw up my maxcare warranty I wouldn't have got it...
  17. A word of warning regarding Mopar warranty

Back in May I purchased an extended warranty from Grainger. All good, highly recommend if you are interested in Mopar warranty. So today I go in for my yearly oil change (I only have about 7500 miles on my 2020), I'm told oil change is $65 plus tax, no problem. He says for $100 I can sell you...
  18. How can I remove a crease in my soft top window?

One time I took my soft top windows off and laid them in the back of my 4runner, ...on top of some floor mats. When I took them out a few days later, my side windows had imprints of my floor mats on them. I thought I ruined them. I put them back on the Jeep, and within about a week, they were...
  19. Toyo tires dry cracking

I have Toyo open country AT3, also just about 2 years old, with close to 6k miles on them, I also run them at 33 psi, zero cracking on either spare or the 4 on the ground. When Im not using my JLU, it is in the garage.
