As title says. This can't be normal? Any solutions other than removing the brace?

You can get a different track bar, one that the bend isn’t as steep……..As title says. This can't be normal? Any solutions other than removing the brace?![]()
If you’re still using the oem trac bar, you should keep it, you’ll need a new t.b. soon anyway…. Just get one that’s not so upright with the bend… if you really want to use the MC brace that is…..Looks like Metalcloak revised their website after 11/16/22 to include...
"Note: The Sector Shaft Brace may require additional bump stop for better clearance of the track bar. 2in bump stop is min"
@Metalcloak since I never got this installed and I'm not adding 2" of bump stop, can I get a refund?
This isn't the stock one. It's. Rough country that came with the lift. The lift was already installed when I bought it and plan on swapping it out at some point. I wonder if @Metalcloak 's is not so upright. The jeep has a tendency to "shift" from side to side when hitting bumps and the only thinking can think of is cheap track bar/bushing has flex.If you’re still using the oem trac bar, you should keep it, you’ll need a new t.b. soon anyway…. It’s possible, I’m not sure about the MC track bar, but if they’re requiring to run more bump stop , I’m guessing their tb is to steep too….This isn't the stock one. It's. I run metalcloak trackbar but rest of my front components are Steersmarts YETI. The MC track bar works well with the tie rod mounted stabilizer setup. I only have about 2" of lift (Clayton 1.5 springs) and use the longer jounce bump stop from Teraflex 1.5 kit. I have not had clearance issues at full flex. I also use the ARB diff cover which protrudes a bit more that others.Metalcloak track bar:

AnnDee, FYI, I'm pretty sure OP's TB is the RC. I found a pic from before I swapped it to the MC.Metalcloak track bar:

You are correct it is the RC TB. The bend is pretty aggressive!!AnnDee, FYI, I'm pretty sure OP's TB is the RC. I found a pic from before I swapped it to the MC.
This is drooped at 28.5", looks like the RC bar has a higher bend as Will mentioned:

Yeah, I guess each company has its own philosophy on it…..The RK I had on mine was almost flat…., when they came out with their new aluminum steering they had to change the design a little, so now there’s a more up and around bend to it…….Interesting that there are so many different bend methods for the same part.
The highest part of the bar is only about 1/4 of the overall length, meaning it only moves up/down about 1/4 of the suspension travel. Obviously clearances are somewhat tight in this area, which is why I find it strange that some bars go up vs. out.
I'm still using the OEM track bar... Honestly I don't see a reason to change it, as the Metalcloak track bar brace completely eliminated any hint of deathwobble (with the OEM stabilizer too). I know it's not as strong as aftermarket, but it seems to be doing it's job correctly. Steering still sucks, but I'm starting to think it's ball joints (31,000 miles on stock Rubicon wheels/tires).If you’re still using the oem trac bar, you should keep it, you’ll need a new t.b. soon anyway….
