I have this system permanently mounted using the Thor mount to the rollbar on the JLU

Works really well and keeps it out of the way, but in this mount it's hard to get to the buttons. Also, this thing is power hungry so if you're going to an external battery keep in mind it draws ~90 amps. I had to put 2 x 50amph LiFePO4 batteries to keep up. Also, the hose coming out of the compressor gets really hot so if you do use the mount above, be careful that the hose doesn't rest against your soft top side window.

Overall very happy with it though - very quick fill-ups and so far no issues with speed or breakdowns.

I am curious what you got and how you mounted to your roll bar... Can you please describe or add pics to show how?

Get the straight hoses not the coiled, they're a PITA to unravel.

All of these quad air hose systems are essentially the same just with a different brand name like Speedflate, Fasterflate, Quickflate, and Morrflate. However, they are a great system for airing down & up. The connectors that are used on the valve stems are great.

I have the Speedflate System.

FYI - Carry spare AAA batteries. When the batteries get low, the air gauge accuracy is way off by 6-8 PSI.

I originally thought about permanently mounting a compressor system inside the vehicle either on the rollbar or the rear door. The Thor wants about 90 amps of input and the ARB wants about 70 amps. Running that much power obviously I would have to come directly from the battery and running that power through the firewall to the inside was something that I did not want to do. So that I don't have to open the hood everything to connect the compressor directly to the battery, I had the power point connection installed on my front bumper. It also can be used for jumper cables conveniently. I decided to get the ARB system because at least it wasn't made or produced by a Chinese company and it works fine for me, although it is a little pricey.

Never have I seen battery posts on the bumper, strange indeed.
I would think that an Anderson connector would be more secure.
