At the risk of asking the "What's the best oil?" question, I'm looking at getting a compressor that I can air up all 4 tires simultaneously. I bought the little All Top screw on air down gadgets thinking that would be easier than breaking out all the air hoses to air down.
So, I'm mostly interested in a 12V portable (not permanently mounted) rig like the Thor Lightening or EZ Flate. I would obviously want clip on air chucks and quick fill. Does any of the systems out there stand out over the others, and why? Many thanks!

I DIY'd for around $100. Takes probably a half hour to build the system.

My original was a four tire portable, with my current twin installed setup, I run two two ways.

As far as a compressor that can handle all 4 at the same time (assuming 35 or 37 in tires) I would recommend one with a dual piston like the ARB Twin. As far as a hose assembly for filling all 4 there are a lot of options. I use the Speedflate and like it. I know others that have the EPIC Kraken and like it. Here is my setup: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...e-my-air-compressor-more-than-a-winch.114681/

There's a few Youtubes on some of the 4 tire systems. The Ezflate compressor is big, but it's another chinese compressor. I bought one directly from China on Alibaba. I haven't used it yet, because of already having a smaller Viair 440P. But my China version of Ezflate is clearly lacking decent battery cables like Ezflate appears to have. So, probably worth getting the Ezflate.

As for hoses, my current setup is a 2 tire system. It's enough for me. The 4 tire system look like a lot of stuff to pack back up.

For deflating, I use Apex Rapid Deflators. I can deflate all 4 from 30 to 15 psi in about 2 minutes.

GATRB8 DIY system - Sounds pretty good. So, I'm assuming you bought several hoses and "T" connections and assembled it with a gauge in the middle. I'm thinking the $100 didn't include the compressor.

You can find all the parts you need at a Harbor Fright. I made my 2 hose system with one 3/8 short main, which tees into two 1/4" poly lines. I bought quick disconnects from Amazon. I'm currently using Haltec H-5265 air chucks, but may move to Lock-n-flate air chucks.

When selecting the air chucks, you'll want "closed" air chucks for any multi-hose system.

One hose and chopped it up. A good thing about DIY is you can custom fit it. I set mine up with the compressor by the battery. I did a guage with quick disconnects cause it's more bulky than the rest of the system.

This should be everything but the basic air QDs I had laying around:
Jeep Wrangler JL Air up/down all 4 compressor system. 1725895251235-zm

Jeep Wrangler JL Air up/down all 4 compressor system. 1725895284715-h7

I'm thinking the $100 didn't include the compressor.

I was back and forth with the ARB and Thor's system. Went with the Thor's Lightning and real happy with it. Yes, it is quick, and yes, it gets warm. Haven't added the 4 tire system as yet. 200 bucks is steep for what can be built for much less.

Do those Apex have a setting or do you just standby?

There's no "standby" time. You unscrew the cap, then lift a tab which raises a collar, exposing about 4 holes. The air comes out extremely fast. About 15 seconds from 30 psi to 15 psi. While the collar is lifted, I put my pressure gauge on the schrader valve and watch the pressure drop (like a rock). When it reaches the desired pressure, push the collar back down and put the cap on. The gauge reads accurately while deflating, so there's no, or little opening and closing of the valve. It literally is seconds to deflate each tire. I'm never going back.
