Did you end up upgrading the cables and any other electrics on the compressor, like some videos?I started assembling a shopping list on Amazon last fall. Added multiple compressors and waited for a good sale price. Finally got this All-Top for $135 and built my own 4 tire system for around $125, again with Amazon junk...but it works quickly and well!
No Sir, used it as is came. Only a few times so far, but no issues at all.Did you end up upgrading the cables and any other electrics on the compressor, like some videos?
I have a 10 cfm I got for about 100 bucks, but haven't used it. I'm still using my portable Viair 440P. I also picked up a ARB dual clone. I think it's made by the same China company that makes ARB, based on the kit components and the packaging. Even the box looks like the ARB. Thinking about an onboard setup. But also thinking of selling the jeep.No Sir, used it as is came. Only a few times so far, but no issues at all.
I think I have the 400p, use it with morrflate on my XR with the stock 35 inch KO2 tire. Never measured the total time but it doesn’t seem excessive to go from 20 back to 35 psi.So does anyone run a 4-tire inflate with any of the Viair models? I know twin compressors are preferred but it looks like a 400P, 440P, or 450P would still perform adequately on typical 35s, admittedly slower.
im currently running a MaxiTrac with a 4-tire deflate I made and it works fine. But I’m looking to move it onboard and I would like something smaller in size.
I run a 440P with a 2 tire hose for 37x12.5 tires. Works pretty well. The 440P has the highest output of the Viair singles, from 10psi to 30 psi. Compare outputs at the psi range you inflate in. The output at 100 psi means nothing when you're inflating a tire to 30 psi. Yes, the hose, inflator, and air chuck that comes with the 440P is crap and can't flow as much as the compressor can put out. But most of us toss that and convert the fittings on the compressor to US standard fittings and a hose system of some kind.So does anyone run a 4-tire inflate with any of the Viair models? Cool, thanks for confirming this.I think I have the 400p, use it with morrflate on my XR with the stock 35 inch KO2 tire. Never measured the total time but it doesn’t seem excessive to go from 20 back to 35 psi.
Not a Viair but using my Vevor single with my home built 4-way kit it takes about 4:45 to go from 18-30psi on my 35s. Compressor was modified with a cutoff swith and standard US style air fitting. So does anyone run a 4-tire inflate with any of the Viair models? Appreciate the response. I’m thinking about mounting in the cargo area along one side or the other. Probably the passenger side between rear seat and roll bar. I’ve seen a couple ARB clones and probably should consider those too.I run a 440P with a 2 tire hose for 37x12.5 tires. Works pretty well. I know a friend has a ARB twin that has a 2 tire system that can air up slightly faster. The ARB is more compact and mount friendly. So, I bought a ARB style clone on Alibaba for what a Viair 440p costs. From what I can tell, the maker of my clone is the maker for ARB. It comes with the full onboard wiring kit that you get with the ARB. I haven't mounted it, since I've had a lot of other things to fix on my JLUR. The options for mounting run from under the hood, under the seat, in the back cargo area, or to under the floor. Under the floor is a bad idea because the first time you go through water, it's flooding the compressor. Under the hood is very hot. So, that leaves the cabin mounting. Message me if you're interested in the Alibaba clone route.
Which Vevor did you get? I’ve seen those. Not a Viair but using my Vevor single with my home built 4-way kit it takes about 4:45 to go from 18-30psi on my 35s. Compressor was modified with a cutoff swith and standard US style air fitting.
