It says in the instructions that that is only supposed to work on the 8.4 uconnect but I have the 7 so I don’t know what the deal is.

I’m going to take a guess here and say most here are running a Tazer but I have heard Flashcal mentioned but not often-__- this post wasn't a how to fix the Tazer forum. It was a what is everyone else using besides the Tazer. Guess I should have been more clear.
Yeah I see. ThanksI’m going to take a guess here and say most here are running a Tazer but I have heard Flashcal mentioned but not often
As Joe form Zauto advised you need to do some testing, here is my testing I did https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/tazer-ess-battery-testing.20413/
If you don’t want to read thru all the posts just skip to #80 and see my voltsge findings.
Remember the old school days of seeing 14+ volts all the time does not factor in here as the JL utilizes smart charging so the voltsge is supposed to float and if you’re is not seeing that I would unmarry and remove the Tazer and have your charging system checked
Sounds like it works better with the Tazer installed. Seeing 14.2 all the time is an indication that the jeep thinks the battery needs a lot of charge for whatever reason. Normally seeing a fluctuation is a good thing with these smart chargers in the jeep.Tazer not installed, voltage stays at 14.2 while driving with no fluctuation. Installed Tazer and married, voltage will fluctuate from 12.7 to 13.6 to 14.2 when I step on the brakes. Tazer says normal and it clearly isn't after the Tazer is removed.
It seems that Z Automotive's Emergency Response Module did exactly what, and only what you want, but is not only out of stock, but "heavier" in cost that the Lite version, which includes, but is not limited to the light show.I know, I meant even lighter for single features
I am running a trail cal and haven’t had any issues, I have a sport and like the “off-road page” screen as well as other basic features. I have always ran Superchip products and never had any issues, they have been in the Jeep Wrangler game for quite a while.-__- this post wasn't a how to fix the Tazer forum. Have you moved on yet?-__- this post wasn't a how to fix the Tazer forum. It was a what is everyone else using besides the Tazer. Guess I should have been more clear.
Reason: like maybe the ESS dumps a lot of battery charge and the Jeep charging system is trying to keep the batteries at peak with that system in play? Just a SWAG.Seeing 14.2 all the time is an indication that the jeep thinks the battery needs a lot of charge for whatever reason.
Emergence response module discontinued as we now private label it and exclusively sell it as the “z-flash” from Ultra Bright LightzIt seems that Z Automotive's Emergency Response Module did exactly what, and only what you want, but is not only out of stock, but "heavier" in cost that the Lite version, which includes, but is not limited to the light show.
