I installed my tazer mini a few days ago and being a gadget geek I had to mess with just about every setting. I was particularly interested in the lightshow function because I am part of a security force in my rather isolated neighborhood and wanted to have some type of emergency services lights flashing during emergencies. I have gotten the light show sequence that I wanted programmed and have the cruise buttons remapped for two of the sequences. The lightshow works perfectly while sitting idle either in ACC or Run, with or without the engine running. But when I put the vehicle in Drive the lightshow stops completely. My question is, is this normal? Can the lightshow function only work while the vehicle is stationary?

As a side note, I went exploring off road in the Cherokee National forest yesterday and greatly appreciated being able to disconnect the sway bar in 2wd below 30mph. To me, this makes for a much less jarring ride over rough terrain.

I like how on the tazer update software they recently added a box you can check for the configuration of the lightshow so that it'll stay on when in motion. I remember a while back it would just say if you wanted it to work that way to contact zautomotive about it.

The setting for the lightshow is to turn off once you move by default. I guess for legal reasons so people don't accidentally turn it on and forget and start driving with their lights strobing. Another side note on your key fob if you hit unlock, unlock, lock, then unlock again kinda quick, it'll activate your lightshow as well. Then once it's on every time you click unlock again it scrolls through the light modes you put in. Then if you hit the lock button it turns the lightshow off.

many reason why this isn’t posted for everyone? I had the same issue and even worse where it would get stuck with one fender light on and the other off

I was aware of the key fob activation, but I didn't know it would scroll through the modes....thx!

Hmmm....I didn't notice any checkbox and I have the latest update. There is a work around though. I'll give it a try later today.

There's a checkbox in the software to allow the light show to work while in motion.

@Blu_Rubicon87 @Xorak Ok, now I see the check box. I didn't check the box because I didn't know what "in motion" meant.... Then I was wondering why the light show didn't work in motion....DUH!
