  1. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

I think we're at an empass because you don't get it. I have provided evidence, more than you who asks it of me and provides none to support his claims. I don't say how everyone else must provide me with proof, just you, holding you to the same standard you hold me to. Fairness: what a bummer...
  2. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

Then lets say my advice was legal and leave it at that, consistent I might add with my responsibilities as a member https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/help/terms ;) Two people are smart to confer with lawyer specialists: non-lawyers who think their case out of a general attorney's league...
  3. LoD building fire

Guys, go kick the dog or something. @Dkretden . After routinely praising LOD on this board (go check) and wishing them a speedy recovery from this incident I shared a story with "upteen" disclaimers, including the story coming from one media source, that fires are regularly inspected, and...
  4. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

@digitalbliss, @Firemadz you and a couple of others fall into a category of people who love showing pictures of supplements with dissenting advice from the owner's manual, only to get shot down and pissed at me when I show you the disclaimer on the bottom that says "refer to the owner's manual...
  5. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

I could say--not that I am--that the law says the world if flat here. People, at least in the States, (not to in any way meant to disparage your Canada, just that laws can be different in the two countries) are expected to not rely on that they read on the internet. In fact, "whatcha read it...
  6. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

Sure you are. So let me try slow and stupid; much as if I do that and not talk intelligently I run the risk of you claiming I've offended your intelligence. We don't disagree that supplements here almost invariably have disclaimers on them to refer to the owner's manual for complete details...
  7. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

Supplement lovers...short and sweet FCA document A has guidance that differs from the owner's manual. Document A also says that for complete details refer to the owner's manual. The owner's manual has no such references to other manuals on vehicile operation at least (if not, say, service. )...
  8. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

We are. To that end I am telling forum members what to do to better protect themselves should FCA products incur defect when forum members here (first) opposed that advise suggesting to other forum members what that opposition wishes were the case is the case. This opposition wishes that...
  9. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

You're right. Nor is absence of such case law proof you seek from me evidence that your school of thought is in any way more or equally correct. Where's your proof that following supplements with dissimilar guidance to the owner's manual, along with disclaimers to refer to that owner's manual...
  10. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

My proof comes from lawyers who specialize in automobile tort law. But I've already said that and you've been told it. Even if I'd furnish you with case law, you'd read 100s of pages, frustrated on the length of my posts? Really? You'd have the acumen to understand why the trial judge...
  11. Quirks not addressed in User Guide

Actually Joe people I know think I'm kind of smart--not God's gift to intelligence but smart--but hey, you're entitled to disagree. And you do so I suspect because you don't like what I have to say. I don't dislike you so much as your ideas. Along with a bunch of other posters you live in a...
  12. Anyone NOT have seat covers?

Let me state up front Chris that I have, by choice, cloth seats. I didn't feel like spending the money for leather, and to be honest, in my case "ignorance is bliss." I've never known from leather seats personally to possibly be induced into believing that their greater comfort is more than...
  13. Rear Wiper

Same exact experience, right up to the promise that it 't fit, and didn't, for the same two reasons you cite: pivot arm size difference and open space size being to narrow to fit the OEM wiper arm. @Mad Hatter : I feel like we're in some parallel universe..same story with the rear wiper blade...
  14. Rear Wiper

@KnG818 , @johnparjr : thanks...exactly what I ended up doing. People, don't count on aftermarket 12" blades and assemblies being able to fit the JL's rear wiper arm. Definitely go with OEM. One I saw at an auto parts store was to narrow to insert the JL's rear arm into. : - )
  15. Rear Wiper

Hard top owners--I can't find this searching the forum. Can anyone recommend a replacement brand rear wiper, including the plastic arm such generic replacement wipers are sold with, for the rear of the hard top? Might any old 12" standard wiper and plastic arm likely do? I've seen the mere...
  16. ESS "Not Ready Battery Charging" question.

Freakin' yes. It's the premise for my concern over the design of the 3.6L's electric power plant and perhaps why this rig only needs to test the main battery for overall rig battery power across both batteries as Jerry sort of described above. Need I tell you, like two separated columns of...
  17. ESS "Not Ready Battery Charging" question.

Thanks Jerry. But if you wouldn't mind answering this for me as it regards the 3.6L that would be great: As some members have reported, ESS may not be available upon cold crank--aside from all the basic reasons like engine cold, wheel turned, automatic in manual mode, etc. Over time, as the...
  18. LoD building fire

I agree, especially in light of my further color commentary. There was just something about respect (to LOD in this case) that my parents instilled in me that made this feel iffy. : - )
  19. ESS "Not Ready Battery Charging" question.

Thanks. While this makes perfect sense, I would have thought that similar checks would also, if not primarily would have gone to the ESS battery as well. Maybe they do and you can confirm this....? Certainly FCA has existing components to effect this main battery check from other members of...
  20. LoD building fire

I choose not to like your post for fear it sends the wrong message. I do thank you for sharing this and wish the extended LOD family a speedy and financially minimally impacted resumption of their business. Wrangler owners tend to "get in bed" with the aftermarket vendors who supply us rig...
