We’ve come a long way since the 2A.
I'll take one in Picket Gray or Bedford Gray. Parkwood Green and Harvest Tan would be ok as well.

I’m out of Vette’s for a while. I’ve moved on to muscle cars, my current one is a keeper and will be a permanent addition. It’s a 69 Chevelle SS 396. It’s a real SS car, I’m in the middle of getting the original 396 back, it got swapped into a 71 Nova but it’s coming out for a 502 in that car and then I’ll be getting it back. I have the original Muncie from it to, as well as the 12 bolt. No plans on them going back in it, though. I built a 540 and put a Tremec TKX 5 speed behind it with a Quick Performance 9” out back.

That’s a beautiful Chevelle. That’s awesome that you’ve located the original engine.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack. Now back to boring Jeep colors.

Hey, very wise going for the rare colors. Only the one Tan, two Grays, but skip the green, there are 4 or 5 of them.

edit- it sure would be grand to have 5 shades of red, not just old fire engine/cracker. Ditto for blues etc, on and on. … at least from time to time more often. How long was Snazzy available, the only other shade of red. Not very.

I've always found vehicle color options fascinating, and what individuals choose even more so, as more times than not it is a direct reflection of their personality. We've got a Mojito and Anvil, so I guess I'm bipolar. 😂 The Anvil was by far the best deal at the time, so I went with it. I had also been looking at Firecracker and Hydro Blue and really was interested in the Hydro. They just couldn't beat the deal. Otherwise, that is probably what we'd have, as it is a great color and not all that common. The Anvil, though, has turned out to be a really cool color, especially in low light. I've grown to like it a lot.

I tend to lean towards the brighter colors because I just find they are reflective of the sense of fun that a Jeep brings me every day. I alternate driving the two to work to keep the mileage down on both. The Mojito gets ducked on a regular basis. Part of that is probably the name (Cash Drain), but the color has always been a draw. The Anvil rarely does, though in its Rubi XR form it is a terrific-looking vehicle. It's all in the eye of the beholder (and owner), but most colors are good in their own right, and different builds can definitely take advantage of certain colors for overall apperance.

Bikini Blue, Mojito and Punk'n would all have been good alternatives if Reign hadn't been available when I ordered. Everyone has there favorites, but it's unreasonable to expect Jeep to keep lots of options available at all times. Frankly, I think they do a decent job of cycling new colors in and bringing old colors back on occasion.

Im surprised one one has mentioned Gobi. I really wanted one but they were out for such a short period. Super rare to see one on the street, though i did see one last week.

I usually buy off the lot to improve the deal-structure and willingness of dealer to give discounts. So I don’t really pick a color. I literally ask them, so long as it’s the trim I want: “Is there one particular one you’re trying to get off the lot?”. If it checks a reasonable number of boxes I wanted, I’m ok with it no matter the color. I do feel I got lucky this time with it being ‘41 green. I do like that color.
