  1. Muffler delete vs cat back exhaust?

Borla Touring climber is what I have on my JL after regretting a muffler delete and getting rid of the stock muffler. It louder than stock, has a nice tone when on the throttle and dissapears at steady cruise.
  2. Catback Muffler Delete

Had too much drone for my liking, also didn't sound that great. Stock is good in this case.
  3. Warning to ALL potential Rubicon owners!

I bought an auto so that my wife would drive it, she still won't. Lol
  4. My 392 is hot. Literally.

my wife and I both bear that scar. I remember when I got mine. I had been working on the car, got it running clean without breaking up at 6500 rpm. just got back home from taking a neighbor for a ride. I told him to be careful getting out to not burn his leg and immediately burned my leg after that.
  5. My 392 is hot. Literally.

I had a 69 big block vette with the big hooker side pipes. You only hit them once!
  6. Had a wreck - is this fixable?!?

I doubt they'll total your Jeep over the damages shown. I was an adjuster for a long time and saw a lot worse get repaired. The only real concern is going to be parts availability, and the wait time for said parts as rentals cost money too. Frame horns can be straightened unless they're kinked...
  7. What sunglasses you wearing?

Depends on what I'm doing. I have a set of Oakley Flak Jackets in my work van, a pair of Costa Tasman Sea in my Jeep for a back up, a pair of Ray Ban Aviators (early 90's vintage) in my Chevelle, and a pair of Oakley Whiskers in my wife's Expedition. I keep my Dillon George's in the house and...
  8. I Can't Be The Only One Who Enjoys This....

I don't have a photo of my 2 together, but my jeep has a 2.5" aev lift and my 69 chevelle has been lowered. It's a big difference going from one to the other, no doubt. The Jeep gives you a good view of your surroundings, the chevelle not so much. The chevelle has 2.5x power, and a 5 speed. It's...
  9. Lack of performance after going to the Jeep mechanics

Drive it for a few days, let it relearn your driving habits. If it's still down on power after that bring it back and talk to the shop about it. If I'm understanding correctly, you had the timing chain and components replaced. If the 2.0 is like every other 4 cylinder made currently there are...
  10. The Lowly 2 door Sport Club!

The came off Amazon and are now in the trash can. They looked nice, but wouldn't stay adjusted, not to mention the passenger mirror needs to be convex and on these, it isn't.
  11. Pick Apart my 2nd Round of Upgrades

I'm curious as to why you're wanting to upgrade brakes? I've got no complaints with mine that a pad change wouldn't fix?
  12. The Lowly 2 door Sport Club!

Not sure if I'm 2B or 2C yet. However I have a Sport S that came with a hardtop and was swapped out for a soft top. As for mods -Tyger tube steps (cheap, does the job for my wife and kids and better than no protection) -Red Rock 4x4 stubby front bumper with a RC 9500lb winch -replaced the stock...
  13. Traction control light comes on after AEV lift

Did you adjust the drag link and recenter the wheel? Or is the wheel off center? Barring that go back through and make sure wheel speed sensors are plugged in.
  14. Oracle Bi-Led’s cutoff and aiming

I've been satisfied with my oracle's since I installed them, but coming from a 2020 Mustang GT and the excellent led's it came with from the factory, I was still a little bummed that they weren't as good as those. Taking the aiming advice from oracle in this thread I reaimed them. I too am at...
  15. EJS Color: Eagle Brown -- would you buy it?

Reminds me of my old Golden Eagle CJ7. I liked it then, and I still like it now.
  16. Ride Quality 20” Rims

That is very true. I just expect more from a moderator on another jeep page. We're here to help each other as need be, not condemn someone for liking something other than what you like. It's a toxic trait
  17. KO2 Wet Traction

My k02's have about 25k miles on them, I haven't noticed any wet weather issues with them. It's not uncommon for the side streets to have low spots that holds water 2-3" deep and outside of throwing water everywhere as you'd expect I haven't hydroplaned through it yet. My only complaint is I...
  18. Ride Quality 20” Rims

I'm glad we're on the same page, did your parents ever teach you that sometimes it's best to keep your mouth shut? There's no need to be condescending on every post you make. There was no reason to even respond to this thread.
  19. Ride Quality 20” Rims

So I guess people aren't allowed to have an opinion different from yours? Maybe you haven't noticed, but different people like different things. If they didn't everyone would have the same stuff. If the op wants 20" wheels, then he should get them. To answer his question, going to 20's with...
  20. Question on a jl hard top conversion about sccm clock spring

Just a guess, but being that everything is canbus it all talks to each other in some way. But I don't see the relation with a multifunction switch and the airbag.
