Tazer (Programmer) for the JL

I finally bit the bullet and purchased the Tazer Mini (version 11.1.4) from Northridge4x4 during their black friday sale. I primarily purchased it to adjust TPMS and tire size when I upgrade to 35s in the spring. When I first installed it, it said I had zero CELs. Now after a few drives around town I now have a CEL U0168 which is "Lost communication with vehicle security module". So I did a couple full reboots and even unmarried the Tazer Mini and my alarm isn't sounding when the doors are locked and I reach through the open window to open the door. And I made sure to put the key 15 feet away at least.

I also couldn't figure out to save the remapping hot keys as the instructions for this a but unclear.

For the CEL, it sounds like you did not do an actual full reboot where you shut it off, open the door, shut the door, wait for all the screens to go dark, repeat. I have seen that message when marrying/unmarrying and neglecting that step.

When you plug in the Tazer you unplug the security gateway module. I got the same code, clear it and it comes right back. Just ignore it.

Went back and married the mini back to the Jeep and followed the full reboot process another 3 times. Still getting the CEL U0168.

Can’t speak for others, I can only relate my experience with Tazer. All my features work and I set my alarm off by accident. Having said all that I decided to remove my mini for a dealer update and probably will not reinstall it.

The Jeep has to be off, with the “key” in the run position, to access the sub menus.

Thank you. I dont run the engine. Only set to run posision start/stop and select audio menu.

You should also see "Other?" as a selection. Depending on whether the vehicle is running or in the ACC position, you'll see different menu selections. Your English is fine; no need to apologize.

You don't have to marry/unmarry. In ACC, once in radio mode... cycle thru the menu items. You should see, in this order:
Lightshow
DTC
Clear CEL
Unmarry
Perf
TPMS
Radio
Lighting
Off Road
Other
Version 11.x
Full Reboot

It has to be in the run position, the engine does not have to actually be running.

So far I've used my Tazer to disable the ESS and activate the "cargo" camera.

No, the engine must NOT run. The ignition is in the RUN position but DO NOT start the engine. You must also have the radio display on your EVIC panel, nothing else.
