A bunch of old forums got purchased by one company and that company ran them into the ground. Replaced the admins, added intrusive ads, etc. I was heavily involved with wranglerforum and watched the decline.
Have you used a breaker bar + pipe yet, or just talked about it? With a long enough lever you can generate way more torque than with any battery powered impact....
I made them myself! I mocked up the XL generic ones with cardboard, drilled holes, and attached via nylon rivets. It turned out pretty good I thought. Their website has said that for at least the past 2 years at this point.
Sounds about right.
However, if its still accelerating in 3rd, I don't see the issue per se. To the tunnel, my 8AT holds somewhere around 4000rpm at 70mph all the way up and I don't sweat it. My old TJ couldn't get past 60mph on that hill no matter what gear I was in and WOT :CWL:
What issue are you having on I70? I don't have 37s, but my Gladiator Rubicon passes just fine with 4.10s and 35s and has no issues doing the speed limit or faster all the way to UT
Pictures really do not do them justice. They look super mild in pictures, and decently aggressive in person. Here's a comparison vs the Falken MTs my jeep came with.
Having run both, the Toyo ATIII is way more aggressive than the BFG, and I've been very happy with them. In my experience, similar wet weather performance, better snow performance, similar road performance. Don't have much mud in CO to test them with :)
Not exactly the same set up as you, but closer than some in this thread. I have a Gladiator Rubicon, stock height, on 35x11.50 Toyo ATIIIs and have been very happy with that set up.
I'm a big fan of tall n skinny ATs with the 3PMSF rating for snow and wet weather performance that a lot of MTs...
