I have the Tazer and the Diode Dynamics switchbacks, but I am not able to set the switchback to be the DRL aside from setting the Tazer to "Turn signal" for DRL which lights up the amber light on the switchback. Is there a way on the Tazer to set the DRL to the same setting as the first option on the light switch next to full off? @joe@zauto

Does front turns as LEDs setting eliminate the need for resistors, or do you still need the them?
I was able to set it to LED and the "Turn signal out" error stopped showing up.

If you turned on DRL: Dedicated then the wire that runs the fender turn signal drl wires would turn on.
I tried this on my sport s with no luck to turn on a light on the fender.

I checked this morning. It works.

If I added extra lights for DRL, does anyone know how I would wire it in so it would turn on if I used the 'Dedicated DRL' setting for location? I think there is a fuse in the fuse box for DRL, would I just need to wire into that circuit?
did you have any luck with this?

For those who are concerned with the obstacle of something slightly protruding from the OBD port or for those who are leaving it in for the Live features and want to conceal from prying eyes.......simple/cheap fix.

How much was that cable and where did you get it from?

I'm getting my spring bow fixed tomorrow at the dealership, so I unmaried the Tazer today. Easy as pie.

I took off the dash panel to deal with the wire plugs. Funny, I had all kinds of trouble with these when I first installed it. I remember asking someone if taking the dash panel off would help, and I was told that it would not. Boy was that wrong. Anyway, I look forward to getting the new spring pad and getting the Taser back on duty. I think outside of the lift and tires, it is easily my favorite modification.

Me to, tomorrow.

Ok, installed the 12" long extender cable just now. Works aok. I velcro-ed the TazerJL to the underside of left kick panel. Fits right in there. Velcro-ed there, as l knew it would rattle if l di not. The SWG bypass module is velcro-ed just above OBDll port.

Thanks for the idea, Firemedicsparky.

Does Joe have a blog or published status list anywhere showing what he's working on and the status of future updates? I'm interested in knowing what's coming next.

P.S. I had the U62 recall done yesterday. I unmarried the Tazer and stored it and the security module both in the "kangaroo pouch" on the back of the rear seat. Nobody ever said a word to me about it or asked any questions.

At one point, the service writer asked me what size tires I was running. He then went into a long story about how you can put "up to 35s" on the spare tire carrier because the brake light is adjustable, so I shouldn't worry about running a full size spare if I wanted to. Kind of surprised me! Maybe dealership attitudes are changing a bit these days...

The bow is fixed, and no issues or questions about the Tazer! I'll be re-marrying it tonight. They did ask if I wanted my tires pumped up to 37 due to the TPMS warning. Lol!

Was at two local Jeep dealership's today. Just poking and prodding the new JLU's at each dealership.

Anyway, would you believe the Service Manager at one dealership (A young guy, have talked with him a few times before) comes up to me and asks if he can sit in my 2dr. JL. I obliged and let him sit in the driver's seat and I got in the passenger seat.

We shot the chitt for a few minutes and then out of nowhere he starts schooling me about this new programmer for the JL, called the "Talon".... mentioned that he and the techs were talking about it just this am. Made a point of saying it was not a tuner. Now, he is going on and on about all the different terrific things the "Talon" can do in regard to the JL. Said he planned on getting one for his JLU.

I sat there quietly. Was thinking to myself..... Boy what would be the chance that this guy picked me of all people to school about the "Talon" Ho, ho, ho..................... Anyway, I said I had to get going and good luck with this Talon thing..
