And those are just the stock road tires (not the stock all-terrain tires?) If so that's good to know. I'm planning to do a little off-roading soon and am hoping I can manage with just airing down my stock tires. Figure I'll have to avoid anything too mucky or dicey.
I spent a good chunk of time researching this and eventually broke down and just ordered the cable from Z. I had a female pin that accepts .64 mm male pin, and that fit on the pins in the radio, but the pin was designed for a different style of housing and would 'click' into the connector...
I haven't done multiple cameras yet, but I've been thinking about it. Eventually I'll want a second backup camera for towing, and possibly a camera to mount some where on the roof rack to keep an eye on things up top. Here's what I'm thinking. Essentially you have to make an A/B switcher--think...
I was on vacation last week in the Smokey Mountains. The Jeep was great for all the mountain driving, but one morning, my Uconnect completely died. It went blank just before parking at a store. When I came out of the store (about 10 minutes later) it still wouldn't turn on. I restarted a few...
I had my oil changed last night, I thought maybe after resetting the oil life, this behavior would stop but no luck. Maybe when they do the cruise control recall that might reset things back to normal.
So with the fuse replaced, do the switches illuminate? My switches do no illuminate after I installed and enabled the uConnect settings, but I was told in another post I needed a loads hooked up to the switches for them to light up.
Also, what fuse was it? Was in one of the four that came...
The first few months I had my Jeep, the EVIC display (the small display right behind the steering wheel) would be on whatever screen it was on when I last turned off the truck (e.g. Speedometer, Audio, Off Road, etc.) The last few weeks, whenever I start up it's on the Vehicle Info screen...
Thanks. I'll have to find some 12V device to wire in and test. I'm pretty sure my orange wire is good. If it still doesn't work when I hook something in, I'll pull of the panel and check connections going into the switches.
I checked this morning. It works.
If I added extra lights for DRL, does anyone know how I would wire it in so it would turn on if I used the 'Dedicated DRL' setting for location? I think there is a fuse in the fuse box for DRL, would I just need to wire into that circuit?
I did...but I forgot to look and see if at actually worked. I set DRL to US mode with the low beams as the location. Hopefully I remember to get out and see if they are on or not tomorrow.
So I activated the AUX switch settings for uConnect. The settings show up in the menu and i can set latching/momentary/etc. But the switches still don't light up, and I don't think I am getting any voltage on the wires in the footwell. I didn't check the wires under the hood. Do I need...
I would double check all of your pin connections. If you don't have the crimp terminal in all the way, you won't get a connection between the male and female pins. If there are disconnected pins (especially those in the connector in step 20,) I'm guessing that's what causes warning lights to pop up.
