Bingo that’s my exact setup too. Thanks for the pictures @hoag4147. Literally takes 10 minutes with power tools. 😂
It was very quick and easy. Of course as soon as I did this setup I found a TLP for a steal on FB marketplace and bought it, only used this setup once and still have Topsy brackets installed on back window
I will say. Topsy kit is the way to go if you want to hang from ceiling :like:

Forgive the stupid new guy but can you tell me what this glorious looking piece of kit is and how much they run? :involve:
It’s called the TopLift Pro. And they’re around $900. Bought mine for $600 used and you can remove the top (or put it back on) very easily. Less than 5 minutes including removing the bolts.

What is the required c!earance? I have a limited height garage due to a storage loft. There's about 4 inches between the top and the loft. Is that enough space to install hooks\straps and lift the top off?

Most likely wouldn’t work

Just do a homemade hoist in the garage for the roof and hangers for the doors. It is super cheap and safe. I do it myself without help.

Be very careful with those hooks like that they will put an indention in the rubber seal and water will leak in when it rains. We bought the ARC hangers. The thin piece of metal goes inside the rubber seal so it doesn't put it indention on it. That thin piece of metal there goes inside the groove instead of putting weight on the rubber. they're only like 40 bucks for a set. Friend of mine used those wheelbarrow hangers like you have and they put a indention on the rubber and water started leaking just trying to help.keep an eye on it

So I decided to see how easy it was to take the top off and on by myself. NOW you can totally take the top off by yourself easy peasy BUT putting the top on in a hot garage with no circulation sheesh get ready for a sweat fest. I also learned the front doors are heavier then the rears why did I think they all share the same weight I just don’t know lol

I used scaffolding to remove and store my top. Makes it easy to walk it back onto the scaffolding since you can set it at the same height. Not my post but here is where I got the idea from (https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...age-and-removal-works-great.29016/post-723584) You can buy the scaffolding for $159 at Rural King and the blue scaffolding matches your jeep. https://www.ruralking.com/catalog/product/view/id/146043

About $200 total.. One hand pull. Door hangers off amazon. Harken lift. Panels go in the bag and on the roof. Tie downs were a PITA but will work (top hanging pic is on tie downs). I wanted easy and one person or I knew I would never take it off. The lift was well worth the $170 or so. I think the hangers were $20 a set maybe.

I built one of those racks too, but why are the doors upside down? You defiantly have the heavy side up. Seems like they would be more likely to fall over that way.

I would be worried about bending the frames too if they get leaned on for some reason.
