Anybody else call removing the freedom panels as going bra-less? Or just me?

Do you have a video of the sound? I had a rattling coming from the tailgate area but all I needed was some RV rubber seal conditioner spray for all the rubber around the tailgate area and isn’t sounds disappeared.

I’m not saying to do that and take whatever price they give you. Just saying that’s the surefire way to get it started. I did that at a few dealers and went with the lowest, least hassle place.

In my opinion, you just need to walk into a dealership physically and tell them you want to order a Jeep. Calling, emailing or texting doesn’t work anymore because they’re not desperate enough to waste their time if they aren’t sure you’re serious.

They probably also don’t want to call it a “roll cage” for optics - because that implies Jeeps can or will roll over. It’s a negative term… it’s for when you “roll over” versus “safety cage” which is a positive and is for “extra safety.”

My two kids fit great. They’re only 6 & 9 but it’s their favorite vehicle to ride in.

what’s interesting is the sound only occurs when creeping forward and braking. Never in reverse.

Is that a brake-related sound or shocks/suspension? It’s a 2021 with 7000 miles on it. Have only had it for 10 months.

Can anyone help me diagnose this creaking sound coming from by back driver side ties when creeping forward. Every time I break on the creep, I’m hearing this. Just heard for first time. Any ideas? Help is appreciated!

Funny you say that. Now that I got rid of the noise I posted about, I also just started hearing something similar. It’s hard to reproduce but sometimes I hear a few thumps in the same situations you describe. And I have a Willys as well.

Yes. It was the rubber on the hatch rubbing somehow. Sprayed some RV rubber slide out lubricator and left it on. Sound gone!

I rode in my trunk and it’s definitely coming from the hatch arena. Not the entire cargo top.

I’ll try both those. Thank you. Is there any danger to tightening the bolts too tight? I’ve heard you can crack it but still get them very very tight but likely not 100%.

So, it’s 3/4” higher on the driver side. Gas tank is 3/4 full. Tires are at 38 (I know, higher than most of you).

Is it normal for one side of the Jeep to sit higher than the other? Had mine for 6 months. I thought it was always slightly different but never checked. Measured today and one side the fender is 5 inches from the tire while the other is 6. Normal? Will they think I’m crazy if I ask them to fix...
