How to close soft top myself ?

I am 5.7 and drive Willy’s Jl 2024 2 door. Opening the soft top is a breeze but I am not able to close it when by myself. I have a sun scree so cat go through the middle, when I step on my side rails I am too much in the front, and from the ground I am too small.

Any ideas? Sick of asking alway my husband …

I'm 5'5" (5'6" on a good hair day ) and can get to it from standing on the door sill, but sometimes I put one foot on the rear tire so that I can get better leverage and not have to pull so hard.

I've also kicked off my shoes and stood on the seat to grab the top of it, and closed myself in, but usually that's more effort than the other options.

If you can find a good spot to put your hand that it wont get pinched, you can completely stand on the rear tire and give it a light push as well. This is how I did it the first time, but failed to realize how fast the top comes down and pinched my fingers... didn't make that mistake twice!

Maybe some Paracord. Attach it to the windshield buckles, throw it over the hood, pull the Paracord to pull the top forward.

I get in the back and push it up from the middle. I just installed pull straps in the center that helps me get in easier - they are screwed into the top frame crossbar where there were empty screw holes.

I had to actually close it today when it started pouring. Followed one advice, steps on my sideboard, right left on the rear tire, and it was so easy. Thanks everyone!!!

I'm shorter than you - I stand with one foot on the step, and one foot on the rear tire. That makes it easier for me to grab the top and close it from the Sunrider position.

Edit: I should have read the whole thread before responding .
