Can I ask what use a hardtop is in FL?

Sure, you can ask... I have the dual tops. I'm actually in North Florida and we have about 4 months when the hard top stays on, also I travel to some cities where parking a soft top outside at the hotel "es no Bueno!" so the hard top goes on for those trips as well. The soft top is the primary lid.

Spring has sprung here in North Florida so it's time for the willy's summer top. 30 dollars a Lowes and the hard top is hung.

I hang my JLU top the same way, eye bolts and straps. Only difference is I use the topsy brackets in the rear, have you seen those? I like these a bit more then trusting the hard top to stay on the rear 2x4.

I was stationed in the Panhandle ("LA", or Lower Alabama). We had a brief snow squall one December, and a modest run of genuinely cool weather.

"Florida" to most folks is technically the peninsula portion of the state.
