It gets HOT in Florida. And also being our daily driver, AC and a hard top is nice when you don’t want to sweat! I have a lift and can get nekkid in about 30 minutes - top off and doors off/on.

@BLS65 good work - that's basically what I build the first time I did a lift in my garage. For the new house, I upgrade a bit. Same basic infrastructure, but instead of ratchet straps, I strung up some aircraft cable through some pulleys and into a hand winch mounted on the wall. Now I just clip the four corners and turn the crank. Then I have some 6" chains that I use to secure it, so the winch isn't holding the full weight constantly.

Not arguing - being my DD and the fact we travel a lot in the Jeep on the interstates, I like the hardtop better. Personnel preference. My last two Jeeps were soft tops and after a year in the hardtop, I’m still happy with my decision.

PA hot<FL hot<desert south west hot. No the AC doesn't work with the soft top when it's 120⁰ in my experience.

Never had a soft top but love my hardtop. Do take the freedom panels out occasionally

I don't know the last time I was in the desert I wondered what kind of person walks out into the desert and then says to themselves "Man this place is great I think I want to build me a mud hut right here".
