I hadn't really been paying attention to my average mpg. Looked down today and was surprised that I was over 28. But I am still running a stock suspension and A/S tires with a combination of mostly highway and city driving. I also haven't done the auxiliary battery delete so the ESS still works, too.

I know we don't buy our Jeeps for their fuel economy, so this for me was a pleasant surprise.

Holy sh**. Just how?!

I have a two door Rubicon XR and you’re telling me the lift and tire size is losing me 10+ mpg compared to you?

I got this after filling up on my way leaving Colorado to Kansas. V6 8spd auto. Stock wheels and tires, no lift kit.

Turbo or no turbo its roads and the way you use the throttle. I would not get this milage without my Pedal Monster. Throttle is way to jumpy without it.

My mom is 70, drives like she’s a corpse, and averages 25-30 hand calculated in her 2021 Wrangler 2 door 2.0 ….. mind you when I say she drives like a corpse, she’s on the interstate for 2 miles before she’s even going 60, that’s how slow she accelerates 🤣🤣.

I had my new Wrangler Willys XR ceramic coated this week and had to rely on her for rides to work 🤦🏿‍♂️

I can make the gauge say ridiculous numbers, doesn’t make it accurate. Most stats are misleading without any context.

For comparison, I have a stock 2024 Sport S 2 door with the 2 liter 4 and a stock 2024 Rubicon X 2 door with a 3.6, both auto. Sport consistently gets 25 mpg or better, Rubicon gets 18-20 mpg. Bigger tires, higher gear ratio and V6 all contribute to worse mileage. Wish I could have gotten the 4 cylinder in the Rubicon.

Spent the better part of a week cruising Yellowstone, sustained 23MPG that week. Back home now and more typical driving and am at 17 MPG. 23 JLUR WITH XR package

Had a rental 2025 2.0L Sahara in Oregon, this was the mpg the whole time.

Better than my manaul 3.6 at like 18mpg, but hell I wish i could get close to 28 🤣

Take 70 leaving Denver? Isn’t that downhill? lol Might’ve had the wind at your back too.

Best I ever mustered on a hwy trip is 21-22mpg avg w/ 3.6 auto.

Edit: that is with stock 4.10’s and 35’s.

My gladiator with the 3.6, 35’s and 3.73’s averaged 16 in the spring/Summer, and 13ish in the winter. Only had my Willys XR for not quite a month, but round trip 2 weeks ago to and from the Ozarks she got 16.4 with 35’s, 4.55 gears and the 3.6

This is what's "possible" when driving down mountains in The Rockies. 99.9 MPG.

There's a incredibly long drop on 742 when driving westward to Crested Butte.

No wind at my back. Had climbed up through mountain from northern Sierra NV to a different route. The route I eventually took was hilly, but I had already gassed up leaving Sierra County, CA... I think Hwy 89. Too many Hwys I took through CA, they jumble in my head.

I do get 23.5 to 25MPG here in the southern VA mountains. I had filled in NV and got 355 miles from a tank fill, when I filled up and noticed my MPG gauge. 70... That's where I played cat and mouse with a Porshe Cyanne leaving Denver to NV. I burned enough for 18.0 MPG but we pushed 70MPH to 90MPH though the mountain. Like I keep saying Pedal Monster makes MPG. Its paid for its self within the year. Before I got it I averaged 18.2 MPG following along with others at speed.

Yeah this is about what I got from my 2019 Sport S 2 door before mods.

In contrast, my 4 door willys XR gets 20 to 22 on the freeway and 14 city. Mind you my city driving is very congested so a lot of traffic lights, stop signs, and hills. Even my Camry gets about 25 of less city but 45 freeway.

Jeeps do fine MPG wise if left stock. At least the sport models.
