I'm on factory 31.5in Nexen HTX2 highway tires. Meanwhile youre getting same city mpg on 37s!!! That really throws me off on trying to gauge expectations. Also im not exactly feathering my throttle but i do drive with some moderation in the city. Just not sure why its so low other than the stop and go nature of my location
my city driving mpg hasn’t changed over the factory “31.5” I’ve had every tire size 33,35,37 since it’s always avg about 13-14 mpg city. With 3.45 gears to 4.10 gears to 4.88’s now.

Thank you. Thats actually very insightful. I wonder if that is a common thing... to see similar city mpg and a larger drop in highway mpg (as you go larger tire diameter).
I drive 80-90% of the time in city conditions and this would make a difference in tire size choices. Would be much more willing to go larger
Btw did you have 4.1 with the 33s? Or was it stock 3.45? Thanks

I was a sports setup on 3.45 with the 31.5 inch at the start. My highway was up at the 22/23 along as I kept it 70 mph and below. So Ive lost about 5-6 mph on the highway. I also always have the ess off on my jeep. If you do bigger tires just make sure you regear. 35’s I’d jump to 4.56 and 37’ I’d go 4.88
