Long story short, I need to find new wheels (current ones are defective and manufacturer is taking them back and I don't have another set). The only problem is I don't know what wheels I want. I've found myself very picky with wheels and wouldn't mind other's thoughts on graphite which is feel is such a hard color for a vehicle to get wheels for.

I orginally wanted xd231's in the polished color but they look so much better on a white JL than on graphite (that i've seen so far). Black isn't bad but I dunno, black is just dull too.

Well if you want the only true DOT approved beadlock then the Hutch. They are expensive and they are heavy. I have them. Having said that you get what you pay for and they are indestructable. There is a reason our military has them on their vehicles.

Going for just looks and maybe a little function, I'd pick that last one. I like the Method but don't like the gold hardware.

Those are the ones in returning. Many of the beadlock bolt were completely cross threaded from the factory.

I'm leaning towards the last two but I like all of them

I know this thread is 2 months old, but I just bought the KMC’s in the last pic. Just FYI, KMC does NOT make a centercap for it. I emailed them and said there is no plans to do one either. They also leave the center bore bare machined, so I had to rattle can it and my hubs black...
Other than no caps, I LOVE the wheels. I mounted and balanced them myself. I love the inner bead rib being about 1” wide (versus less than a 1/4” usually), they are hub centric, the 4.75ish” backspacing is perfect for my 37”s and 2.5” lift.

Don’t forget to anti-seize each bolt to avoid future headaches!

FWIW, with my 37” Nitto Trail Grapplers, they weigh 126 lbs each. Definitely takes some effort to lift them up :)

I have the KMC XD231 in black on my Granite Crystal and I think it looks pretty good. The XD231 is a strong/well built wheel. They have threaded inserts for the beadlock ring screws, so none of that galled aluminum thing is going to happen. I have no wheel weights on mine and have no vibrations.

Love it...do you have a pic showing how far they poke outside the fenders? I sold my wheels/tires yesterday and have jeep up on jackstands. Ordered 37" milestar's and want to find a deal today or tomorrow on wheels. Love your xd229 machete crawl and also looking at 17x8.5 xd228 machete deserts with 4.75 backspacing. Have you flexed yours? Curious on if 37s will tuck into fenders.
