Sting Gray vs New Earl Gray

I was set on ordering a Sting Gray but ended up waiting for Gecko, I think in pictures I like Earl slightly better, excited for it to come out so I can check it out.

I like both but sting grey is still an awesome color. I should have gotten sting grey. my dealer talked me out of it cause of how nuts I am with my paint and worrying about swirls. He said it swirls pretty easy if you aren't really careful washing.

As soon as I read this I instantly thought of a cup of tea.

I'm not really sold on this color, thinking Sting Gray is better and I wasn't too sold on it lol. I wish they'd bring back Gobi and Gator, those were two awesome colors!

Hella Yella, Chief Blue, Punkin' Orange, Gobi are all colors I'd love to be able to order (with a soft top!). Earl is good. I hope they add 2 or 3 colors but that's a wild dream. If they only add Earl we'll have to decide between Gecko and Earl. Probably Earl, the Rubi red trim doesn't go well with Gecko for me.

My JK was anvil, we have a punkin and now sting JL, honestly the more I stare at any color on a jeep the more I like it, but I always lean towards grays and orange for some reason. I really like sting gray with the red accents on the rubicon trim, very happy with that choice

Earl looks exactly like Cactus Grey on the Ford Bronco. I hope if they do bring this color for 2022 they change the name. No offense to any Earls out there. But the one I know is the biggest A-hole on the planet. Wouldn't want to think of him every time I see my Jeep. Lol.

Well, my favorite Wrangler color is Anvil. I waited for the 2020 MY to see if it was coming to the JL. But, after seeing Sting Gray, I really liked it. Overall I'm glad I got my 2020 JLUR when I did & really glad I got Sting Gray. I have to admit that Earl Gray looks interesting & could be amazing in person. But, I would still get the Sting Gray, no matter what. The red accents do look good on it, but just about any accent color looks good on Sting Gray.

If you're having to wait, maybe you will get a chance to see Earl Gray in person. Perhaps Earl will replace Sting, but it may be replacing Billet Silver Metallic.

If it was me, & I was waiting, I would try to see each color in person before deciding. But, as far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with SG.

I agree. I think Anvil is the most interesting color ever offered on the Wrangler. I'd have ordered it in a heartbeat if available when I ordered my 2018.

I laughed out loud. I hate myself every time I build my jeep online and default to a 2dr rubi on white with saddle leather.
