  1. Anyone know what this button does?

It's awesome for those times with you have a really sketchy down hill, your tapping away on your OnX trying to find that damn camping site right before sunset, your coffee is a little full and getting a little sloshy, and your passenger is going crazy pointing out the water fall you just missed...
  2. Apples to Apples 2.0T vs 3.6 Question

I owned a '21 3.6 for 30,000 before it was totaled now have a '24 2.0 with 8000 miles on it. My wife also has. 3.6 Grand Cherokee so I do a fair amount of going back and forth between the 2.0 and 3.6. Honestly I don't notice much difference. The 2.0 is a little more snappy off road with...
  3. Gritty Clutch Peddle

In true Jeep service fashion they installed the new clutch plate and knock out bearing and somehow screwed up the entire system. When I picked the vehicle up the clutch pedal didn't engage until half way to the floor, and barely had enough to disengage. I took it back the next day and they did...
  4. Total death of jlu

If you can open the box and find a SIM card it's a tracking device. You can remove it without any issues to the vehicle. I found one in a '21 Willys and removed it. No issues at all. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/i-found-the-sneaky-bastard.89319/
  5. I'm NOT thinking about selling or trading my Jeep today.

Thank you for posting!! So many negative posts. Yes Jeeps have inherent flaws. So do Ferrari, Porsche, and Mercedes. Every one of the top luxury brands have a service center in the back full of new cars. But dammit I still smile when I'm walking to my Jeep. It would take a lot of effects...
  6. How do you turn off dealer tracking in a 2024 wrangler??

2024s look a WHOLE lot better! I agree the Willy's wheels are fantastic, but Rubicons are improving!!

  8. Am I remembering correctly? Wasn't the Wrangler often pitched as a good "second vehicle"?

That was the reason you bought a Sarah yj.....for the upgraded sports bar speakers!
  9. Am I remembering correctly? Wasn't the Wrangler often pitched as a good "second vehicle"?

Same desert sand. Not sure what the wheels are. Whatever came with a stock Sahara. My response to "rough ride, noise, fuel economy and handling" is always "If your coming form a sedan you'll be disappointed. If your previous daily driver is an F-250 power stroke like mine you'll love the JL" LOL
  10. Am I remembering correctly? Wasn't the Wrangler often pitched as a good "second vehicle"?

This was the final total so probably includes sales tax, delivery, etc, etc ,etc. But fair enough. I just looked at the bill of sale not too long ago but could be off in my memory. He passed away so I inherited it. Still, when you compare the options, quality, performance of today's Vs...
  11. Am I remembering correctly? Wasn't the Wrangler often pitched as a good "second vehicle"?

Let's not forget inflation. $18000 in 2003 is $30000 today. Wranglers start at MSRP (who pays that) of $32000. So Wranglers were just as much in 2003 as they are today. My Dad bought a 1999 Sahara brand new for $29000. With Inflation that's not much less than what I just paid for a '24...
  12. Thrumming Noise at Highway Speeds (63-67ish)

That is my post you linked and yup…was told this is normal. Apparently if enough design flaws make it to market it is then considered “normal”. I haven’t read yet that anyone’s front end exploded so I’m a little comforted that I’m A: in good company and B: it’s only a minor irratence not a...
  13. Vibration in Steering wheel over 55 MPH

XR does have different axles. Thank you for this reply. It doesn’t bother me much at all but it’s comforting knowing it’s systemic not specific to mine:).
  14. Vibration in Steering wheel over 55 MPH

Didn't have them rotated. TBH I'm still recovering from the wreck that totaled the first rubicon so don't have much strength to do much myself yet. I have a jeep wave oil change coming up soon so will get a rotate then and see if that changes anything. I always have them do a 5 wheel rotation...
  15. Vibration in Steering wheel over 55 MPH

Good ideas. Thanks! Fortunately not in my head (Well, not imagined, but it's getting TO my head LOL). The service report did state they observed the condition. It's Just so constant, doesn't change with acceleration or deceleration or toque applied, that driveline doesn't seem plausible...
  16. Vibration in Steering wheel over 55 MPH

Video wouldn't show anything. It's not a death wobble or even audible. Just a vibration in the hand on the steering wheel. Not the end of the world, but a bit distracting. I have a dash cam on the windshield that if the light is reflecting right off it you can see the vibration in the...
  17. Vibration in Steering wheel over 55 MPH

I think once again a Jeep dealer would prefer to make up a story than address a warranty issue. Back story, I have owned a brand new ordered from factory '21 Willys, traded it in when the clutch repair at the dealer destroyed the clutch system (clutch would only engage half way to the floor...
  18. What is this for?

Well this is what happens to the driver side. Note the brake pedal against the right side fire wall.
  19. What is this for?

Is this just on the passenger side? I noticed it on my '24 Rubi but haven't looked at the driver side. I am still recovering from a head on collision where the driver foot well crushed and shattered my foot in a '23 rubi. This little doodad on the driver side would have saved me a lot of PT:)
  20. Jeep saved our lives, so we got another

He was going 60+ (speed limit). I was still aired down from the trails so was probably 40ish to keep tire temps down.
