2. The Uconnect Guardian ad
3. The sirius XM ads

Opt-out for this should be built into the dang radio, and so should opt out of data collection.

In fact, I demand a button to disable the cellular modem from the radio. Why we aren't asking for that is beyond me.

Dude only Shitlantis does this. Had half a dozen late model year cars all connected to the internet and none of them show this.

That’s true but it depends on the OEM. At least Stellantis knows they’re not competent enough to make a truly OTA-ready vehicle, although they’ll try their luck with the JM I’m sure. Especially now that they’ve officially outsourced their software to India and Brazil. Ford is probably the closest behind Tesla and my MachE got some shoddy updates, as has Rivian reportedly. But I’m not aware of any widespread bricking or update mishaps happening on Tesla, looks like they have their stuff together.

Good luck with Uconnect service. They have flat out told me go to the dealer....yes, the dealer....to see if they can fix the stupid XM notifications on my radio. I have a '24 JLR and boy oh boy do I miss the system in my 2023 JLURD.

Seems odd that laws are not in place for such nuisance when driving. It is a clear distraction. We can't use a cell phone but we can fight with a touch screen swiss army knife console. I am a firm believer in anti tech touch screen panels. They emulate but are not as good as the real thing.

Glad most of the important stuff still are button / knob operated in a Jeep. At least the Uconnect splash overlay closes after a few seconds during initial power on.
