just buy the factory one for the 392 or gladiator mojave. theyre like fifty bucks and beefed up compared to the normal one
Good info. You still will want to consider relocating it up higher out of harms way if you have close encounters with rocks.

I’ve run all kinds of stabilizers on the JL since it came out, for lifted rigs running bigger tires, Fox ATS is definitely the best one imo. Been running mine over 5 years now, with no issues…..
I ran the EC for a while, I was their crash test dummy a while back…. It was good too, but a bit finicky and at times took a lot of patience to dial in perfectly……That said, I would have a hard time paying over 500 bucks for one.. what the hell happened to the aftermarket, prices are insane…..

I've had the Rancho RS7MT on 2 JL's and like it. It's been on my 2021 JLUR about 2 years now, maybe 20k miles. They are around $75.

If you had to choose the perfect steering stabilizer for your set up which one would you go with? For us, it's between the FOX 983-02-148 2.0 Factory Race Series, ATS Steering Stabilizer, Wrangler JL, Gladiator JT ( FOX 983-02-148 2.0 Factory Race Series, ATS Steering Stabilizer, Wrangler JL, Gladiator JT ) or the TeraFlex Falcon Nexus EF 2.2 Steering Stabilizer Fast Adjust 3 Settings; Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT ( TeraFlex Falcon Nexus EF 2.2 Steering Stabilizer | Jeep JL & JT ) what are your thoughts?
My rough country dual steering stabilizer is great and has been great for my 37-in tires. Very smooth and handles a lot better than a single one by itself. Plus, $99 replacement stabilizers is a huge benefit. Any issues with one, it's pretty dang cheap to replace it.

The AEV one is the best to control bump steer and any shimmy when hitting big bumps, BUT, it pulls slightly to one side. The Fox 2.0 TS (much cheaper than the ATS/Falcon) is nearly as good (but not quite as good) and has zero pull. I personally had both and I'm sticking with the Fox TS because of the zero pull on the highway.
I have not had any pull. I can take my hands off the wheel at highway speed and tracks straight..

I bought my Jeep last year about 400 miles from home and on the way back while coming off one overpass I experienced death wobble. The rest of the trip was fine. When I got home we checked all the usual suspects and everything was fine except the stock steering stabilizer was showing leakage. I chose to replace with the terra flex and have been very happy with the results. I'm sure i'll get flamed that it was a band-aid but it replaced a defective part and fixed my issue. so I'll take the heat.

My main reason for going for Terra flex over the Fox was adjustability. I honestly didn't want 22 clicks of adjustment because I knew I'd never remember where it was at. I would set it and forget it. I run the terra flex on medium and it works fine for my mix of driving.

I put the Metalcloak Rock Sport Red SS with the relocation bracket on the Jeep about 10 months ago. Seemed to always push to the driver side. Didn't love it.

When I upgraded to the CavFab 2.5 ton steering this year, I went with the JK version of the Fox ATS 2.0 stabilizer. Installed it using the Metalcloak relocation bracket. Running it three clicks clockwise from stock and love it.

I've never liked or trusted the factory SS. IMO, they're weak. I wasn't having any steering issues at all but I changed mine out (at only 8700 miles) with a Bilstein. I could compress the factory SS with one hand, both hands needed for the Bilstein. đź’Ş

I have the AEV one and I get a very slight pull but it is quickly unnoticeable and it is so much better than stock that I would gladly choose to purchase it again.

Yeah, I have run the factory one for 90k+ miles. Most of them with a hodge podge lift and 38" tires. Just make sure that you setup your angles properly and keep up with maintaining your joints. The only issues I ever had were worn out joints.

Two comments:
  • I’ve also experienced steering pull caused by the pressurized design used in some stabilizers. Because of that, I’ve run pass-through stabilizers for the past ten years. Given how many users report pulling issues, what’s the motivation for continuing to produce pressurized stabilizers at all? It seems counterproductive.
  • I opted for the Teraflex 2.1, over the $100 more expensive 2.2, because I suspect the vast majority of buyers operate in a true “set it and forget it” mode—whether they’d admit it or not. At the far end of the spectrum, the Fox Racing stabilizer with 24 points of adjustment feels like the ultimate example of overkill in the Jeep accessory world. "I used to run the one with only 18 points of adjustment, but I couldn't dial in my steering properly". Max’s Red Bull F1 car doesn’t even offer that many settings. 🙂

My factory stabilizer started wearing out at 15k, and I have 32" tires on stock wheels. Took it off and moved it by hand and I could hear it making bad noises.
