Fox and synergy I’ve had no issues with either one……I’m also running 1.5” tie rod .

I have been running Synergy on both ends for 30K miles with zero issues first with the OEM stabilizer, then a Fox 2.0 IPS, and now a Fox ATS.

I am curious as to how the Synergy bolt failed.

I have a stock 2022 JLUR with 35 inch tires and will be putting a 2.5 inch lift on. I have the Fox ATS already, but not put on yet; will I need a relocation bracket(s) for this set-up, and what size would I need? I'd appreciate your help.

I would recommend changing out the Allen head button bolt that comes with the synergy track bar bolt if you go that route. The issue is not with it staying tight, it’s getting it back off after been on a while. Had to drill and ez out mine, replaced it with regular hexhead……

If you’re going with the EC the eyelet is a little narrower, I put some washers on the back side, helps it be nice and straight with the tie rod…….

Off topic a bit, but I'll hopefully have a 140 lb coming my way soon, and Tony recommended I get a relocation bracket, but reading metalcloaks product info, they're recommending 2 inches of lift - do all of these relocation brackets need lift?

The failure was for 2 Reasons..

1) Metal Cloak on the side, and Synergy at the Tie Rod... Geometry was off.

2) The bolt came loose (I probably should have use thread lock, and checked it after a few hundred miles). The threads in the synergy Tie Rod Bracket got stripped because of bolt being loose

I was planning to replace the bracket sooner, once I noticed the MC / Synergy Mix. But didn't follow up soon enough.

Ah...ok, then not the fault or failure of the hardware, but, misapplication and improper installation/maintenance.

The Fox ATS comes "configured" to bolt onto a fully stock JL with nothing else needed. If you are not off-roading in your Jeep, you can leave the ATS in the stock location and you have everything you need in the ATS kit for installation.

EDIT: saw you are adding a lift kit. You will want to relocate it then. I used the Synergy bolt and clamp on my Fox ATS installation:

Most require 2” of added bumps or add lift.

I really wanted to stay all MC, but at the time I initially did the install, that cheezy u-bolt bracket they offered was a major turnoff. I like the MC axle side mount, but I have to admit, I am a bit leery of the aluminum tie-rod clamp. TBT - I am really surprised that given the "overkill" construction that MC does with everything else that they chose aluminum over (what would be) an awesome gold zinc coated metal piece that would have blended right in.

With that said (and not a direct answer), I think that you would be fine with either of them. If you do go MC, you will not have to purchase the extra bolt to attach the tire end of the Fox to the bracket as it appears to be included.

Another tip--you will need to remove the aluminum "bushing" from the tie-rod end of the Fox ATS. Use a small pipe wrench or vise and an impact and it will spin right off.

Is this the part that comes off? The ring clamp goes too?
Will removing the bushing affect the adjustability?
