each location has different rules, different ecosystems. High tundra is pretty fragile.
But when allowed then yes, we dig a cat hole and bury it most of the time.
man, i aint going ANYWHERE where i have to carry poo and piss with me. ill just vacation elsewhere lol.

We actually bag ours just so we can use a sit down toilet at camp (Cleanwaste go anywhere). We’re normally working while we’re out, so we also have 30 gallons and a water heater for hot showers and starlink for internet.

After reading what Jim said if I were to camp somewhere and had to haul out my own biological waste a trasharoo would be a must have. Get to the nearest town, cut the straps, and pitch the whole trasharoo right in the dumpster for $30 I'll buy a new one. ?

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
Costco sells boxes of 200 trash-a-roos for about $20. I'm not a mathamaholic, but I think that comes out to about $100 each, or at least that's what I'm going to try to sell them for on C-List.

I bought this for $35 a little over a year ago. Used it a few times on campouts and it did come in handy, not only for packing out trash but an in-camp trash can. Seems durable but I also don’t leave it on all the time, either.

I’m not sure what the problem is. They’re real handy if you ever have stuff to throw away when you’re walking around the city. ?

I've gone backpacking where you need to pack out your poo.
Ziplocks, double bag, and it goes in (carefully) with the rest of the stuff in your pack because you don't really have a back tailgate when you are walking for a week.

So I don't really see the need.

but If my jeep was packed to the gills, and I wanted to store trash and poop outside ...
I would just find one of my many daypacks, book bags, duffle bags, old laptop bags, trade show gimme bags, or tote bags and rig it to the spare tire with straps.

aka - why do you need a special bag for this? Doesn't everyone have extra school backpacks laying around?
I mean I'm so cheap that I squeak, but maybe I'm not straping an old laptop case to my spare tire so I don't look like a hobo. ?

Have had the one from @ RhinoUSA for almost a year now and haven’t had any issues with it. Pretty much use it every camping and wheeling trip, no one really see’s the use for the bag but when I’m around suddenly no one wants trash in their car ? Has survived Ca, Co, and Utah, rain and 100+ degree weather. https://www.rhinousainc.com/products/spare-tire-trash-bag

I ended up ordering the northbound expeditions garb. It will hold up better than a trasharoo, I figure. Just hope it doesn't get stolen.

It also can carry traction boards, which eliminates something else that is on my purchase list (a way to mount traction boards to the spare tire).

Now, if I were more frugal, I could probably hang on the rear bumper and pinch the traction boards between my butt cheeks and save a couple bucks....but, well, ya know...

I've had a few, my latest one is about the biggest one I've had yet. Which is great for bringing firewood, and then using it for trash after.
I've had 2 stolen (drive back home), and 1 was lost during accident (rear ended).

Just get a Trasharoo, or something more expensive?

Would be nice to have some storage space on it…
I looked into them early on, but I was sad about losing my backup camera. My solution now is “something more expensive” but it does have storage space in it.

American Adventure Labs MASS Spare Tire Platform with Milwaukee Packout mounts. The Milwaukee crate is perfect for tossing a trash bag in there on long trips, and I still have a backup camera. It’s got enough room for other pack outs on there as well, good for clothes, shoes, dog food, etc.
