Just get a Trasharoo, or something more expensive?

Would be nice to have some storage space on it besides the trash area to store filthy clothes or whatever that you don't want to put inside the vehicle. After reading awhile, it seems like there are mixed reviews on the Trasharoo - some people say they just fall apart. Others say they have had them for 7 years. Hard to know who to believe. I wouldn't expect to keep it on the vehicle every day.

Thoughts? Thanks!

I can't speak from experience yet but I'm also thinking of getting a trasharooski. There is a wide variety of them on Amazon with lots of reviews if this helps any. This is a product I'm thinking of starting out kind of cheap just in case some birdbrain decides to steal it, I'm only out a few bucks.

Best of luck and enjoy your Trasharoo if you get one.

Seems like they die from uv exposure. Any suggestions on a bag that can also carry dirty clothes, ropes, etc is appreciated.

I've been pretty impressed with the Trasharoo quality for the price.

I lol when i see people daily driving with those things on.

I just take a bag that i can throw in the back of the jeep. Im not carrying anything nasty though so ymmv. People taking their poos with them? I can see it being useful if youre camping for days.

LOL...to each his/her own, but even after decades of packing out my trash, I still don't understand why anyone would pay $50 to $300 for a garbage bag. I just use a heavy duty garbage bag and drop it at the first dumpster I see on the way home. Done and done.

Just a note, if you relocate your plate to the spare, these become largely useless, we still use if for some stuff around camp, but that's it.

Camping for a week in remote locations - no dumpsters. Jeep full of an entire family's junk. Space is valuable. Trash stinks.

The best one available: https://www.nbexpeditions.com/product-page/g-a-r-b-2-0

If you can't order from Canada, there are other places to get their gear, like https://overlandpros.com/product/nb-expeditions-g-a-r-b-2-0/
milspec! Navy Seals use this milspec trashbag on their zodiac boats and sxs!

Jeez, $200 for a trash bag that doesnt even hold that much! i see them on the back of tacomas and 4Runners driving around town all the time. im going to start "shopping" and listing them for sale on the forum here :bandit:

Exactly.
My black Trasharoo lasted a few years before UV disintegrated it. My current one is the sand color and seems to be holding up a bit better. I use these so much that it's worth just replacing them when they go.

I've gone backpacking where you need to pack out your poo.
Ziplocks, double bag, and it goes in (carefully) with the rest of the stuff in your pack because you don't really have a back tailgate when you are walking for a week.

So I don't really see the need.

but If my jeep was packed to the gills, and I wanted to store trash and poop outside ...
I would just find one of my many daypacks, book bags, duffle bags, old laptop bags, trade show gimme bags, or tote bags and rig it to the spare tire with straps.

aka - why do you need a special bag for this? Doesn't everyone have extra school backpacks laying around?
you couldnt dig a hole and bury your poo? were you backpacking on sacred ground?
