If your JL is still in warranty, this should be covered. I'd try another dealer too...this one sounds terrible.
There's a pic I posted earlier in this thread, tried four dealerships so far and nothing. I've given up and will just buy new windows when they get so loose they don't stay in at all.

I think you can DIY the widow channel to at least slow down the separation of the window. Mine fell off last summer but has been good so far this year.

A friend gave me a tip to try. Next time the windows are off, put them in the sun with binder clips on the channel. Hopefully that will squeeze them back together at least some.

Please read my comments above. It’s not the channel, it’s where the lower back corner tucks onto the tub. If that let’s go, the whole window is coming out. That’s why I drilled a hole in the window stiffener and the tailgate bar retainer and zip tie the window to the tailgate bar retainer.

I think you need to re-read all my replies in this thread. I tuck the channel flap and there are pictures I posted of the channel letting go. The corner channel flap is not the cause of my issue.

My issue is the channel has widened but Jeep won't provide new windows because they know it can and will happen again. I've measured mine and compared to a new window, the opening is noticeable wider.

Happened again twice today. I’m wondering if it’s distance related as it may be pulling at the tail of the channel and sagging but at a certain point it just pops free. I’m on a longer road trip so we’ll see how much it happens. Ironically the driver side window is the only one giving me issues and it’s also sold out. Hmm…..

New theory. as shown in the pics, it’s only the top channel that pops out. Only on the drivers side lately and I’m wondering if it has to do with sometimes driving with the windows down. Took a 1500+ mile road trip and day one it popped twice. After day one ended I thought about all the driving I did that day and a decent amount was 70+ mph highway and a mixture of 30-60 mph roads. Much of the lower speed driving I would lower the window until highway again and the noise would dictate I put the windows back up.

day 2 I only ran the ac because the temperature increased and I had a lot of calls to do. Not once did it pop but most of it was 70+ mph highway. Before I thought it was just the highway speeds popping it out but that may not be the case.

my next test will be to put a clamp or something at the tail of the channel to see if I can help keep it closed and maybe prevent it from popping off again.

On the highway today and the rear driver side premium soft top window blew out and hit the highway. It was run over of course. Top up and windows down, Speed was 65 I know all the flaps were tucked and the channel threaded properly as it took the tapered tip with it. At least with a zipper it would stay with the Jeep. Anyone else have issues with the window not staying in-place? A full line of Velcro on the top might be better than just the small patch.

I just had this happen on my 2023 Willys- only 2 mo old- passenger side soft top window popped loose, flapped for a few seconds as I tried to pull over and blew off. Was on an interstate driving about 75 mph, luckily no cars behind me, no big trucks passing me either. Had all windows up, top on, and all soft top windows in. I have struggled with that side window since I got it- very hard to slide it in the track. When it flew off, it broke the white plastic piece off from the top that helps to guide it in place. It is in service now; service dept says trying to get it covered under warranty. The window pane was not damaged when it hit the road.

I’m wondering if it has to do with sometimes driving with the windows down.
As I recall, this has been theorized elsewhere in the forums for some time, and seems pretty valid. When driving at highway speeds, you can look in your side view mirrors to see what happens when you start rolling your glass windows down. The more they go down, the more the plastic windows suck inward, which includes some component of downward pull on the c-channel, ultimately pulling the window out. Once out of the channel, it doesn't take long for the plastic tabs and tiny piece of velcro to give way, resulting in the window departing the vehicle.

This hasn't happened to me yet, because I drive in safari mode for most of the year. However, I am mindful of this issue when I do have the windows installed, and keep the glass windows all the way up. Stupid that we have to contend with yet another (and new) "Jeep Thing," that would have been mitigated by simple and more robust zippers, which had been working perfectly since the 1940's. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Hope this helps, and best of luck.

My window hasn’t blown out completely yet. But I’ve been lucky to catch it quickly and get the channel put back properly.

I drove today on the expressway at 72mph for about 30 miles each way with the soft-top back in the first position. In the morning with the windows up and afternoon with the windows down and nothing. No flap, not even vibration from any of the three windows in the back. I thought the top would act like a sail and slow me down or at least feel the drag, but felt smooth and steady. Now I do have a full length Alien Shade and not sure if that made a difference. I still get a good amount of open air coming in without being scorched by todays Florida sun.

Mine keeps coming loose only from the c-channel. Never blown completely out but just comes apart. The channel is obviously wider and allowing it to pop out. However I haven’t had any issues with the passenger side at all yet. Going to try and take to dealer and see what happens

Sorry to hear about that, since it's how the window blow-outs begin. Please let us know how the dealer addresses it and best of luck!

Just left the dealer.
I pointed out what was happening, they lightly pressed on the channel and saw it pop out, then ordered replacements. ????
