Replacing my 2020 sport s with a Willys 4xe. I pick it up in about 2 weeks. Current jeep is a hard top but I ordered the soft top for the Willys. How do you access the trunk? The hard top has the rear window that swings out of the way. What is the best way to access the rear with the rear window in place for the soft top? Thx.

When you pull the bar out, grab it from underneath and roll it up toward you as you pull. It may sound like you're breaking something, but you're not.

Pull the side tabs out, pull the tailgate bar out, and then flip the window over the top. Works fine, takes seconds.

Or just duck under.
If it's over 50* out the window will pop out without too much hassle. Forget it if it's really cold. That said, grocery bags fit under the bar with no issue and a lot of other thing can be twisted in to fit if you have to leave the window in place. And since you're getting a 4-door, there's a lot more room to work.

My JL only has a soft top, and I'll have it 5 years in July. I've squeezed guitar cases and amps through that opening without removing the rear window, and mine is a 2-door which has considerably less room to maneuver larger items.

Enjoy the ride!

All of the above. Also there is a product, can't remember the name rn, but it's almost like struts for the soft top window that help hold it open so it's not flapping everywhere. I saw them at a jeep event and was interested until i saw the price, something like 2 or 300 maybe. Whatever it was it was high enough for me to walk away and deal with the extra few seconds to get things in and out of the trunk. It's really not that bad since they've changed from zippers to whatever they call it now lol.

After a few times i can put everything back together in less than 10 mins in the dark, that's including doors too.

Bc it's a jeep so therefore it has to be expensive and nifty. so people will buy it. They had discounts at the event as they usually do but still not worth it.

Basically this, you'd be shocked how often you DON'T have to open that rear window to get stuff in. But if you absolutely do, easy peasy as stated above. Even my wife doesn't complain about it, the soft top is on her JL 8 months of the year.

That's it....
yea $300 bucks?! gtfo lol. a set of hood struts cost a 1/3 or less and are 10x more functional lol

Not to say, you still have the issue of your side panels possibly still flying away at highway speeds, lol
