** This thread is for 2-door soft top owners mostly.

So, the 2-door has no trunk space with the seat in position and with the soft top the whatever tiny space that is there is visible for a thief to do some shopping. How do you guys manage the space full time? There is this tail gate mounted box from Tuffy but I don't know how really useful it is.

What other options are there? What are your suggestions or ideas for the seat in place storage place?

When the seat is up or out, the space is there but it is so incredibly wide open. Again, tuffy has this giant metal box to fill the space but then you can't fully lower the soft top as it rests on top of the box which is kinda high and so the top cannot lock.

Any suggestions, ideas and pictures are very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I had a 2-door soft top and used the Tuffy box. My seats were out almost all the time.

I found it very useful. It held my MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, lunch, 32oz Hydroflask, and other odds and ends.

My soft top didn’t lock with or without the Tuffy in place. I used these Velcro straps (36” x 2”) to keep the top in place:

Pics of the box:

I installed it against the tailgate (removed the plastic liner);

I put weatherstripping around the box and on the tailgate:

Still room for the doodle:

I haven't gotten around to doing this myself but I preferred the ammo box mod over the tuffy box. Interested if new options have come along.

Eagerly waiting for this. I REALLY need security back there since my windows are always pulled out. I have to carry my roller skate bags into the store with me because I can’t leave it in my Jeep for anyone to steal and it is so inconvenient and heavy! This will be almost perfect for my needs. Totally perfect if it could cover the entire cargo space with the back seats rolled forward. I have them in that position 95% of the time. Last time I checked their website said it would be available in spring but since everything is shut down I am not expecting that. I may have to buy something else because I don’t think I can wait, I REALLY need a secured trunk.

I removed the rear seat the day I got my JL so I could install this security system. I've had no issues with theft, but things do sometimes get chewed up a bit back there.
