I've got a 3.5" RK kit, rear chromoly shafts, oil pan skid plate, exact center stabilizer... all waiting in the garage for warmer weather

Naw I just don’t care if other people are running late šŸ˜‚
We used to have a saying, piss poor planning on your part doesn't make an emergency for me.

Back on topic...

I need to install all the mods I have now before I buy more.

1.fender flares
2.fender liners
3.exhaust
4.ARB diff covers? (originally intended to use my ARB diff covers but I think I should do skids and these covers really aren't skid compatible)
5.LCA skids
6.rear shock mount skids
7.stabilizer relocation (should have done this when I replaced the stabilizer but didn't have time)
8.some kind of lift, either need to install the 1/2 inch spacers I bought and run it like it is or do something more comprehensive but I have the spacers now and the shocks I have will support them just fine...it's a never ending argument I have with myself.
9.engine skid (only one of these I don't have yet)
10. Forgot my new winch, need winch bumper...

All need to be done by July 20th. No pressure.

Oh bless your heart. I wish my mod list was that simple šŸ˜†
That list did not last long :)
While doing my homework for the trackbar, I should also get a reinforcing bracket for the upper track bar mount.
As usual one thing leading to a other I found myself looking at cargo liner... lol

Skids, steering and gears. Probably have all 3 by the spring. Did a lift and tires at the end of last year. I am kicking around being proactive and upgrading the clutch. I have 70K on the odometer, so I am guessing i will need one in the next 20K or so.

Getting 4.10s and lockers installed. Dropping it off this afternoon. Then it's wheels and tires.
After that, who knows?

Still just working on the basics but will have a bit of a delay in buying more stuff until the engagement ring is paid off but:
1. JKS quick disconnects installed (new fiancƩe got them for me for xmas)
2. Front and Rear Bumpers
3. Winch
4. New tires
Mostly want to get a lot of wheeling in this year with some basic goals for mods

It's got 3.45s now. Can't pull a fat person out of a donut shop.
Sixth gear is useless. Doesn't have enough revs to pull, unless you're going 70-75. By then, it doesn't have enough power to overcome the wind resistance, unless you downshift. So...

I don't see how the 3.21s are even driveable.

Hopefully you have small tires and a Jeep that doesn't weigh much! I can't imagine.

I can ear you there, I ponder a little the same thing, I run heavy tire in the summer and I get the same issue with my 8 gears. Let just say it usability is greatly diminish but on the other end fuel economy. This is one situation where you cannot have everything.

My experience is:
Stock everything with 3.45. It drove fine.
285/75R17 (34") + 2.5" lift with 3.45. 6th gear was almost useless like you described.
285/75R17 (34") + 2.5" lift with Rubicon 4.10 axles. 6th gear was back and it drove comfortably in 6th gear on highway. I think 4.10 is doable for MT up to 35s. Not ideal but doable.
37s+3.5" lift with Rubicon 4.10 axles. 6th gear was gone again.
37s+3.5" lift with 4.88. I love it. 2500rpm at 75mph, 6th gear.
One of the plans for 2025 is to bump the tire size up to 38x12.50R17. I think 4.88 can still handle it okay.

The folks at the Jeep place suggested 4.56s, instead of 4.10s, but I don't plan on running much larger than a 32" (essentially stock size) tire, so 4.10s ought to do the trick. When they heard that, they seemed to agree.

Nothing ordered yet, but my intentions are:
  1. Some kind of Jeep outing. At least a day trip, maybe multi-day if the pregnancy is going well. And maybe more than once, if possible, too!
  2. LCA skids (just in case)
  3. Wheels - currently have the Sport black steelies on. I have a set of Sport S wheels I got for $100 in my garage, and have all the supplies to paint them 392 bronze gold 😁. If the wheels turn out nice, I’ll be adding bronze gold touches/decals/vinyls here and there, too, like swapping the current Sahara badges for the LJ-era sticker.
  4. Tires - mine are relatively new GG ATx 285/70r17 (only 5k miles), but my lift turned out higher than expected and I like the pizza cutter look… so the MT BB AT 255/85r17s are tempting
  5. Teraflex aluminum tire carrier and tailgate reinforcement, if I need to upgrade for the 35s
  6. Bestop eTop - if I win the lotto or sth like that I’d love to install this top and I’d sell my SOT.
