I’ve got diff covers and diff skids in the garage, ready to go. I need them powder coated and then I’ll install them.

I’ve also got rock lights and beadlock rings ready for install that I need to get around to.

purchase wise this year, the goal is frame mounted rock rails and belly skid. I’d line a high clearance year bumper too. I think with that I should be all but done with my mod plans until stuff starts breaking.

Currently waiting for my '25 JLW to be delivered. I guide for local clubs and I will wheel it, so I bought everything I could afford for it during Black Friday sales. It comes on 35" KO2s so for the first stage I focused on everything except lift/wheels/tires/axles. It's going to be a busy spring doing installs.
  • Warn winch
  • Steer Smarts track bar and brace
  • Artec full skids plus lower control arm skids from MetalCloak and Barnes
  • Steering damper relocation and FAD skid from Clayton
  • Motobilt rocker protection
  • GenRight rear bumper
  • Tow wiring and rear license plate relocation
  • Front Antirock
  • Tazer JL Mini
  • PPE front diff cover
  • Rugged Radios JL install kit
  • Bulletpoint dash mounts for all my crap
  • Combat Offroad flush tail lights and gas cap door
That's where I ran out of funds. I still need a rear diff cover and a front bumper or winch plate. What did I miss?

I didn’t want to do mods to my Rubicon X but in the process of a bunch

-Accuair Lift
- Adams front and rear drive shafts
- Metal cloak fenders and wheel liners
- 38” nittos
- KMC grenade beadlocks
- PSC hydro steering
- hyline rear bumper
- Tereflex tire carrier

Jumping into the rabbit hole head first

I posted earlier with some stuff on order n received awaiting install: psc, apex steering, front truss, atlas, MB sliders, and front antirock but will add some smaller bits.

Ordered/received Dash mount switch to tackform from bulletpoint as its easier to add or modify positions of the accessories. Rebel Off Road spare tire delete and adding rotopax which will help with long rage anxiety fuel issues off road. Need to reinstall my mxt575 from my old rig to new which I had to replace some harnesses. Dynatrac ball joints going in shortly when everything else is installed.

Later for 2025, will order rear axle shafts, bumpers/winch, hydraulic bump stops and maybe a cargo shelf to mount packouts. Pretty good chance to go back to 40's as on a previous rig.

welp, figure out the leak on the front of the engine. and figure out what the hell is knocking in my front end off road on minor fire roads. seems when the jeep rocks back n forth i get a clunk. not sure why or what it is.

mods... bought a fridge. so, going to wire it to the battery.
going to order the genesis double battery kit.
paint correct and re do my ceramic coating.
probably should change air filter and both diff fluids.

Getting 4.10s and lockers installed. Dropping it off this afternoon. Then it's wheels and tires.
After that, who knows?
Which axles do you have? Are you locking both axles?

Dana 44 in the rear, and 30 in the front. But I don't plan on doing anything extreme with it. (Hence my 32" tire preference.)
I have lockers in both axles, that can be engaged independently.

My question to the writer/advisor at the Jeep place was, "If I eff up and break an axle, it'll still free-wheel.. right?" He said that it would, which satisfied my largest concern. I should be able to still drive it home, and worry about how to proceed, later.

I should mention that I picked up the jeep yesterday, after the work was done. It drives as good as - if not better than - I hoped it would. Pulls like a train. Even accelerates up decent grades, in 6th.
Now I just have to behave for 500 miles, so the gears can wear in, and then change the fluid.

That’s great to hear. Which lockers did you end up getting?

I got Eaton E-lockers and Yukon gearsets. I don't know much about the gears, but Eaton probably would be my first choice for the lockers. They're tied in to my AUX switches.
I went with the shop's recommendations since they are pretty well respected, and do some really nice work. (Hellcat and LS Jeep swaps, etc.)
