Apparently the 2.0L is no longer available on a 2024 order, only 4xe and 3.6. The 2.0 should be back for 2025 orders when they start taking them
What gives you the impression that whatever is holding up that variant will be cleared when they start producing '25s?

There will always be something better next year. Wait until 2025 and you will be wondering what 2026 will have. Wait until 2026 and you will wonder what 2027 will have. What you won't have is time enjoying your Jeep.

“Change is easy, improvement is far more difficult” — according to Motortrend the 25 GC will be 4 banger or 4Xe . T-6 not listed, “better” “Improvement” ?!.
Wrangler’s future “improvements” ?!
Much stricter standards implemented reducing CO2 by half and increasing fleet mpg to over 50 mpg by 2032….. assuring “Change”, “improvement” ? ! “better” ? !….. opinions vary.

Yep. I've said before that what's available for a Wrangler order may literally depend on the day that the buyer's configuration is entered into the dealer's system.

Colors like Punk'n and Tuscadero come and go with the wind, as do engine block heaters, vinyl seating, heavy duty flooring and so on. It's a bit surprising that the costly half door/soft upper option has lasted as long as it has. Then again, the $4K sliding fabric sunroof has had similar staying power, so...

Yes, some of the Here Today/Gone Tomorrow option availability may be linked to lingering supply chain issues, but the fact remains that time isn't on the buyer's side here.
I am working on trading in my 2023 JLURD on a 2024 JLR and I want green. Jeep won't allow a dealer to order green now.

I'm considering ordering a Rubicon X Unlimited but wondering if there are any rumors out about what might change in 2025's model. Also wondering how much longer I can wait to order a 2024.
I ordered a 2dr rubicon on Monday, not the X version. You cannot order the Willys version. I tried and had to order the rubicon instead. Dealer gave me very good price so I'm happy. Probably 6 weeks or more to get it.

They typically run 10 years per generation.
We got a refresh after year 5. I wouldn't expect any real changes until 2029, except options changing as others have said.

Agreed, I was really hoping the Bronco and its multiple versions entering the market would force Jeep to up their “every decade” model.

The Bronco didn't change much over it's lifespan either. The mini Bronco is a re-skinned Escape, nothing impressive there. Jeep already has a bunch of lesser models to choose from.
Now I would like to see a stripped down Wrangler, built for abuse. Something with visors that don't break and functional without a computer network running the locks. Give us all the beef and hold the onions.

Nothing significant will change for 2025, and I expect this to be true until 2028. Jeep has no reason to modify anything given a full redesign in three years. Colors, wheels - interchangeable options would be the exception.

Well, piss on a flat rock. No changes until 2028 or 29....means no I-6 Hurricane.

In the original press releases around the I-6, Stellantis acknowledged the need for a ICE platform to take them to 2035 and beyond. Market conditions (widespread rejection of EVs) since then have confirmed the need. Only the politicians can keep it from happening.

I did see something about the new I6 twin turbo with 500 hp, possibly going in the Wrangler. I'd be interested in that, but would probably wait a year or two to see how they do. But that's all just rumor and speculation.
